Rik and Elirt

So, you two want to know about your great grandparents, eh. It all started about 100 years ago. Your grandparents were feuding over the Elder Tree. The Kiwi tribe and the Emu tribe both wanted the Elder Tree for themselves. The Buffalo tribe, led by Billy The Buffalo, and the Armadillo tribe, led by Sekai, had no opinion.

“Cornelio dear isn’t this such a beautiful egg. He’s going to grow up into such a handsome boy isn’t he?”

“Yes, Osana. He will grow to be the strongest Elder Leader there ever was. Stronger even than I. Make sure to keep the egg safe today for today is the great battle of the elder tree.”

“Cosimo dear isn’t this such a beautiful egg. He’s going to grow up into such a handsome boy isn’t he?”

“Yes, Antonia. He will grow to be the strongest Elder Leader there ever was. Stronger even than I. Make sure to keep the egg safe today for today is the great battle of the elder tree.” “Emu’s, today we prevail!” says Cornelio.

“Kiwis today we will win over the Emu’s!“ says Cosimo.

Sekai was starting to get worried for all the armadillos that were around the Elder Tree.

The Emu’s and the Kiwi’s started to argue over the Elder Tree. The shouting got to be so loud that the rocks in the high mountains started to fall. This Made the buffalo in the surrounding field start to get anxious. Thes shouting continued. The rocks continued to fall. The buffalo started to stampede. Oh no! The eggs started to hatch. POP! Hi Elirt. Hi Rik. Rik and Elert started to run towards the noise. Oh No don’t go that way. The baby birds kept running towards the battle.

The shouting had stopped after the stampede. The two tribes went their own ways. Little did they know that their pride hatchlings had gone to the outside world and gotten lost together. When the two tribe leaders got back to their nests they found that their two eggs were gone. OH NO! The tribes called an immediate meeting at the elder tree so they could search for their hatchlings. They wasted no time in looking for their loved ones. They searched for hours, but alas they did not find their babies. When they returned they found both Alert and Rik at the Elder tree holding hands and laughing. They grew up to be best friends and ever since that day the families have shared the Elder Tree and worked together. They lived happily ever after.

“That’s how you two are here.” said Margret the armadillo. The two were already asleep.
