Hero Behind the Scenes

The first day of school is an opportunity to transition from summer back into the school year. As such, we have devised a plan to help everyone get to know one another while also reflecting on the previous summer, and also getting a chance to use English.

Good morning class!

My name is Tamara. I spent my summer reading my book on the beach with my dog.

I expect each of you to turn to your neighbor, and find out his or her name, and then what he or she did over the summer. After one minute, I am going to stop you, and then you will each introduce your neighbor to the class.

What are your expectations from me for the class? From one another? What can I expect from all of you?
