Mr. know all

The passenger traffic on the ocean-liners is so heavy that I’m lucky to have a place on this ship. Finally, I’m traveling to Japan and can investigate the cultured pearl business.

This cabin is pretty small for sharing it with another person. Anyway I’m excited to get to know him and I’m sure we will be friends.

Thanks god my cabin’s mate is English too! He looks anxious so I will make him a cocktail to loosen up his mode.

I’m so happy that the fancy-dress ball I’ve arranged is successful. Also, I’m glad The people around me noticed my intelligence and now they call me “Mr. know all”.

Mr. Ramsay is such an argumentative stupid person! He is sure that the development of culture peals would have a negative impact on the price of the real pearls.

Now he is betting me that Mrs. Ramsay’s pearls are culture. He is handing me the chain to let me judge the authenticity of the pearls.

As I guessed, the pearls are real but now I have the puzzle completed!  Mrs. Ramsey’s face turned  pale that I think she has lied to her husbandand that she has gotten that necklace from another man.

I hate it but I guess I should lie by announcing that I was wrong and lose the betting. I can’t go on with my life knowing that I ruined someone’s marriage just to get 100 dollars.

Mrs. Ramsay turned to be unfaithful but at least she is grateful. Now she sent me my money back, too bad she can’t send me back the ego I lost because of her.

Wow! Lately I’m being treated like a hero and everyone seems to admire me. I don’t know the reason why but as long as I’m happy I don’t care.
