I was thrilled to meet my family after this long war. It was so hard for me to stay away from them for so long. I guess it didn’t matter considering the fact that there was no way to travel from place to place after the war started and I had no way to leave San Francisco during my visit.
When I got on board I saw plenty passengers holding their luggage and it was incredibly crowded as I suspected it would be. There was one man who caught my eye. He was different than other passengers and locals. He was dark skinned with long black curly hair and a big nose. His luggage had labels on it and he was smiling for every single passenger who only wished to push his way for his cabin.
After I settled in my room I was getting hungry so I went to the dinning room to get something to eat. Again, I saw the man i saw when i got here. He was sitting with two other men. I saw he was chatty. Both of the men looked annoyed of his company but only one of them, the fatter one, bothered to answer him and even argue with him. I heard he was argumentative and rumors said that talking to him about anything is tolerable because he was a ‘know it all’ kind of person.
The next day I went to the dinning room I saw the three men from the day before sitting together again. I noticed a women that joined them this time, she is probably the fatter’s man wife. The fat man and “Mr know all” were arguing like the day before.
After a few minutes I noticed the noises are getting louder and I saw that their argument started to catch fire. It looked like “Mr know all” was about to explode out of anger, i have never seen anyone this red from anger.
I was curious of what is all shouting about so I listened more carefully to their fight and turned my head a bit to see what was going on. I saw “Mr know all” holding a pearl necklace (probably it was the women’s necklace) and smiling. Right after that I noticed that the women had a terrified expression on her face. I was getting a bit worried when I saw her face changed its color to white. Then, “Mr know all” noticed it. I could tell by the way his smile faded from his face and by the way he flushed.
The next thing that happened was “Mr know all” mumbling a few words I couldn’t even hear and handed out a 100 dollar bill. The fat man was smiling and the women looked relieved.
When the four of them all went away I was left in the same place and thought about what happened. I have never seen “Mr know all” this way. He looked like he was fighting himself not to say anything even though from my quick acquaintance he always says what is on his mind. There has to be a reason I thought. In that point the puzzle clicked together. “Mr know all” was covering over the women who sat at the table. At that point, I did not entirely dislike “Mr know all”.
