About The Author

Bernaed Malamud :

Bernard Malamud is considered one of the most prominent figures in Jewish American literature he was born on April 26, 1914, in Brooklyn, New York, bernard featured by writing short story Along with saul bellow and Philip Roth, he was one of the best known American Jewish authors of the 20th century. His baseball novel, The Natural, was adapted into a 1984 film starring Robert Redford. His 1966 novel The Fixer (also filmed), about antisemitism in Tsarist Russia, won both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize.

Comparing My Goals to George’s Goals

In our story “A Summers Reading” George has alot of aims he wants to achieve, George wants to get a good job, nice house, beatifull wife, money, and from this information I understood that he wants to attain the american dream. George cares about education and he interested to be respected from the people around him.

i want to attain the samething to have a high paying job, to be satidfied in my job, being respected from the people around me . so i can see that maybe george and i have the same points for the future to be a happy and successful men.

dear: mr.cattanzara

After 10 years since we met last time iam sending to you this letter, you remember the last time we have met when you whispered in my ear

“dont do what I did” it was a hard second on me, I were crumbled apart from inside but that meeting and that sentence changed my life. now I have a job, house, wife, money, finally I achieved all of my dreams which were impossible in the past, but all this whould not have been achieved without you, thank you with all of my heart, in five words you have changed my life.

Mr.Cattanzara you are the man who brought me happines in this world I can not describe how much I appreciate you, change maker , I called like that not because of your work no, because you are a life changer.

A Conversation Between George and Mr.Cattanza

George : Hey!! Mr.Cattanza how are you.

Mr.Cattanzara : Hey! George where have you been?

George : I were in California building myself there.

Mr.Cattanzara : Wow! so you achieved your aim.

George : Yeah of course but do not forget who motivated me to educate and to learn.

Mr Cattanzara : Son, I wanted you to learn because I do not want to see a young boy wasting his life, its ashame.

George : I wish that all the people like you. You wasted your life therefore you want a good life to the other people, God bless you.

Mr.Cattanzara : Thank you son I  appreciate it.

George : Who whould imagine that I did the impossible!!!?

Mr.Cattanzara : i do! you have succeeded because the impossible is possible, remember that george.

George : thats right, failure is not exist its just a rumor in our mind.

Mr.Cattanzara : you started to undersood the life George think wisley in every situation. see you later george.
