A blood-curdling scream was heard in the Harbordale Mansion. All of the guests came running out of their rooms, all except for the owner of the manor, Mr. John Johnson.
A note was found in his room: “If you are reading this, I am most likely dead, as I suspect that one of you is plotting to assassinate me. I realize that if this is so, I’ll just have to accept that I’m as good as dead. You all know me too well, and it has been years since I’ve been able to trust the police. That is exactly why I entrust all of you with solving the murder. Nevertheless, be cautious: one of you is the murderer, and you will need to solve the murder before the murderer finishes all of you off. Whoever solves my murder will gain all of the wealth I have accumulated in my entire lifetime. Good luck to all of you!”
And so the guests – Professor Plum, Mrs. white, Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, Col. Mustard and Mrs. Peacock – all embarked on a joint effort to find the killer, discover where the murder took place, and find the weapon that he used. Judging only by their past, you would not be able to tell which one did it: they all had their reasons to kill Johnson, and every single one of them had the same alibi – they were all in bed in their respective rooms at the time of the murder.
by their past alone you couldn’t tell which one of them did it, John was bad tempered, greedy and generally an unpleasant person to deal with. because of that, every single one of them had a motive to kill Johnson; Col. Mustard and John served together in India. In one of their various missions, they encountered an ancient artifact; it was an archeological finding of colossal value and though the benefits from it which included both honor and enough money to buy each one of them a small country. But John wanted everything to himself, he was incredibly greedy and left nothing to Mustard who in the meantime fell into debt. Mustard hates him ever since.
Miss Scarlet met John Johnson in first grade and from then on always regretted it – he always annoyed her so much, he pulled at her hair and took her stuff. Until the end of second grade, she hated him more than any other person in the world, and it only got worse! When she got to fourth grade, she didn’t even come to school on several occasions because she was so afraid of him. That made a bad student and just annoyed her even more. For that exact reason, she was oh so happy when she was done with elementary school, when everybody said goodbye to each she was to the moon with joy! From then on she just hated him and would anything to get rid of him…
Mrs. Peacock knew Johnson from college, they learned architecture together, both of them were so awful at it that they were always forced to work together. After about a year peacock had fallen in love with him. She waited until graduation to tell him this but he completely rejected her. Mrs. Peacock being just a little bit unhinged had in that very moment vowed to get revenge!
Mrs. White never liked John, but he was her husband’s best friend, and as such, she disliked him politely. Nevertheless, when her husband was dying from typhoid fever and John did nothing to aid them and buy the medication for his condition she really could not stand him anymore, and when her beloved husband past away a few weeks later her hate and hostility towards him was so open Jhonson decided to never go to yorkshare where Mrs. white lived nor to durham where they’re family business was.
The priest Green and John Johnson met a long time ago, in the army. They immediately liked each other, and soon a romantic affair evolved between them. They did everything together they were a couple and best friends at the same time. But gradually, their relationship began to fall apart. Johnson approached Green and left him. He told him he doesn’t think they will see each other again. Furious and degraded, Green had the perfect motive to kill Johnson…
Professor Plum and John Johnson were not on good terms. When John Johnson studied architecture at the university, Professor Plum was the lecturer. Johnson used to prank Plum, The pranks he learned from elementary days When he used to abuse his classmate, Scarlett. John also used to annoy the other students in the class: He would steal their papers, spill ink on their tables and occasionally throw water balloons at their heads. John bullied the students, they failed all of the tests because of him. the principal got mad and fired professor Plum. Since then, Johnson and Plum developed an intense hatred for one another.
they discussed the matter for a couple of hours and they came up with two rules the first was that no one would be allowed to exit the mansion, the second was that none of them would contact anyone outside the mansion. after this was decided There was nothing to do except to begin investigating. They interrogated one another, they looked for a weapon with fingerprints or a hand with gunpowder marks. they searched in every single one of the rooms, they searched in every single one of them twice or thrice! after a week of continuous detective work professor Plum gathered all of them in the library and exclaimed:
“After a couple of days searching, I am convinced that I have found his gun, he said showing the gun in his hand. I found it hidden in the corner of the room, with traces of the murder. As I tried to decide who I think the killer is, I was reminded that although Mrs. white is shortsighted, last night she was the first to understand that Mr. Johnson was missing. Moreover, on the rag inside one of the splatters of blood, I found a tag from a jacket, the very one Mrs. white wore last night, I also saw, on white’s hand a bit of gunpowder like the kind inside of the bullets in this pistol. and that is exactly why I am absolutely sure that she is the murderer!”
