The day after tomorrow

The day after tomorrow is an american climate science fiction disaster film produced in 2004.

It is about a climatologist, Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid), who is ignored by United Nation officials when he presents his theory about climate changing.

When an enormous storm develops, setting off catastrophic natural disasters all around the world, Jack’s research proves true. Tornadoes destroy Los Angeles and a huge wave in the dimensions of a tsunami devastates New York. 

While Jack keeps on working on his theory, his son is in New York with some friends and almost risks his life to save Laura, the girl he loves.

Jack has then to save him and he travels from Philadelphia, braving the elements to get to Sam before it is too late.
