The Parrot that couldnt fly – plastoflippancy

I love animals!

ever since i was little i used to grew many kinds of animals.

from pigeons to turtles including water turtles!

I also had a parrot she was a yellow and greenish.

she was so gentle and nice to everyone, not fearing life at all.

she also had a problem, she couldn’t fly and it was quite sad.

After some time we brought her a mate, a shiny blue little parrot!.

and added a nesting place for them in the cage.

i used to check on the nesting place regulary in hope to see some eggs and future baby parrots!.

that baby in the picture wasn’t her baby.

one morning i checked on them to see whats new!.

and i saw a lovely whitish egg, she was incubating it.

i didn’t want to disturb so i left her alone.

normally incubation among budgies(the type of parrot i had) lasts 18 days.

but i noticed the egg was there for too much , more then 18 days.

i realized the egg wont hatch,it was heartbreaking to see her incubating a egg without knowing what will happen with it.

she had hope for it regardless of the time passed.

eventually i had to take the egg out , otherwise she would have spent her entire time in the nesting spot.

She died few weeks after that happened.

cant know for sure if it was because of the egg removal or anything else.

it was surely sad to see her gone.

i didn’t mention but her mate did die sometime before her.

so i was left with an empty cage, no more morning tweets.

ill remember her forever.
