to the stones of Thebes Θήβα till the shells of Halkida- Χαλκίδα.

It is Tuesday morning, and Christos is taking us along the green roads to touch the stones,

the metal, the clay and to feel the spirit of the rich Greek History,

in Thebes Θήβα – , the city of Antigone and Hercules.

There is no such a happy green dancing with a yellow on the sides of the roads.

I fight all the time to find the right angle to catch some of those glamor colors,

while Christos is driving.

Soon the present view of the mountains and the blooming fields

will change into talking stones of the History.

Thebes– maybe a small modest city now, but yet it carries on its shoulders

an amazing History from the time of mythology.

Here we are in the amazing new Archaeological Museum of Thebes.

let the stones, the marble, the clay, the metal, the glass, the wood,

the paper tell us what happened here, in Thebes.

Let’s ask Dionysus – the God of the wine.

Maybe, if he is drunk enough he will tell us some secrets about the scandals in Thebes,

that nobody knows yet.

You can see that she is Just like a kid in a big candy store.

She is running all around taking pictures, looking for interesting details.

Ronit is looking for beautiful things, statues, ceramics, jewelries and handicrafts.

Christos is moving slowly around the exhibition,

he is reading almost every thing with a big interest .

He wants to know where, why and what.

I bet he could stay here for hours.😊

And I am looking for Oedipus – Οἰδίπους (Oidípous meaning “swollen foot”) the mythical Greek king of Thebes,

a tragic hero in the Greek mythology.

As well as I want to see some “souvenirs” of Antigoni.

But only their spirits are here.

So I go and look for the poetry, the tales and the music.

Time to leave the amazing History behind

and to move on.

“Charlie and his angels” are busy each one in his own

Christos-Charlie is driving without Waze and arguing with

the main navigator and lead broadcaster – Katerina,

Ronit is addicted to the smartphone and spends time with candy crash

and Shuli is fascinated by the road and taking photos, of course.

We go through the mountains, the sea, the browns, the yellows, the greens and the blues, until we get to the fish & the cats .

Finally we dessert with sweets.

And with this sweet taste we are very grateful to Christos and Katrina for a wonderful fulfillment day.
