I am many things, each equal to the other.
Otherwise I wouldn’t be me – I would be another.
2
I learned how to laugh, how to get along and survive
And through pain and sadness I managed to thrive.
4
Some things I am, and will always remain.
Others have changed, by joy or by pain.
6
I have many hats, duties, jobs and positions,
Juggling between them is no easy mission.
8
There is no single me, I can honestly say.
The constant change makes a different me each and every day.
10
What I learned from my family is as varied as me.
I tried to take in the good, to the best of my ability.
12
It’s not for me to judge or to say,
It’s up to the people I meet along my way.
14
And to them I’d like to say in advance,
Thank you, for giving me a chance.
16
And if I saddened, or hurt you or darken your day,
Just forget about me and be on your way.
18
For now when I’m older (and wiser, I hope)
I know you can choose if to smile or mope.
20
So choose well and remember it’s all up to you.
You’re the one leading and you know what to do.
