“THE MAN WITH THE TWISTED LIP” is one of the 56 short SHERLOCK HOLMES stories written by the British author Sir ARTHUR Conan Doyle, is the sixth of the twelve stories in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

1.SHERLOCK HOLMES: he is a detective who is working to fight crime , and he is ridiculously smart.

2. Dr Watson:He was an army doctor in Afghanistan,he helps Holmes with solving the case.

3.Mr Neville st.Clair (Hugh Boone):a respectable and punctual man which is missing,but turns out that he has been leading a double life, one of respectability, and the other as a beggar.

the plot:
1.Dr Watson is called upon late at night by a female friend of his wife,he goes to find her opium addict husband from an opium den,where he find Holmes.

2.Holmes tells Watson about the missing man, Mr. Neville St. Clair and asks him to help solving the case.
3. Making the matter more mysterious is that Mrs. St. Clair is sure that she saw her husband waving to her, so she calls the Police.

4. but they cannot find Mr. St. Clair. The room, in the window of which she saw her husband,instead the found a beggar known to the police as Hugh Boone.
5.The beggar is arrested and locked up at the police station, and Holmes initially is quite convinced that Mr. St. Clair has been the unfortunate victim of murder.

my opinion: it was a really interesting story,since I’m a big fan of this type of stories and Sherlock Holmes.
