They named this season THE EVIL WINTER.

Because the winter wasn’t hot and nice like the summer. No it wasn’t, it was cold and evil.

They didn’t have food to get through the evil winter because the animals were hiding and there was no food growing on the trees or in the ground. The evil winter went on for a long time.

One day the smart cave man was walking in the park he was really hungry because the cave men hadn’t got food from hunting. He was so mad that he throw a stone onto a rock and it broke into the shape of a triangle. It was really sharp. When the smart cave man picked the stone up he hurt his arm. He was bleeding. The smart cave man had an idea.

The smart cave man went to the hunters and told them about his idea. He made the first spear. He told them to use the spear to hunt and the hunters agreed. The next day the hunters came home with a lot of meat like mammoth, yak and more. The hunters said it was all because the spear. The food problem for the winter was gone.

The cave men tried to take the fire from the tree but the fire was too dangerous for them. Then rain came and put the fire out.  When the cave men came back the smart cave man was so mad that he throw a stone onto a rock next to a bunch of sticks. There were sparks and fire began in the sticks. The cold cave problem was solved.

The cave men had the fire to cook the food and to light and heat the cave.

The cold cave and food problems were solved but there was one more problem. It was cold outside. The cave men went to the smart cave man to see if he can solve this problem as well. The smart cave man thought and he remembered the last problems that were solved by throwing stones so that is what he did.

19

He threw a first stone and the stone turned into a SPEAR. The cave men were sad.

Then he threw a second stone. The stone started a FIRE. The cave men were sad.

Then he threw a third stone. The stone did NOTHING. The cave men were sad and the smart cave man didn’t know what to do.

The smart cave man went for a walk. He didn’t know what to do then he saw a piece of mammoth fur. He touched the fur and it was warm. The smart cave man had an idea. The day after no one went outside without his new invention. He had made a COAT. Every problem of winter was gone. The cave men were happy and the winter wasn’t evil ever again.

—THE END—
