The adventures of Sophia, the curious chihuahua!

It’s grandma Nina’s 67th birthday! Willy Will decides that he wants to make a special dinner for her.

The party’s at his house this year, so he has to make it very special.

Willy makes a meal filled with many goodies. He decides to make nina’s favorite smoked ham, potato salad and sauteed veggies. For desert, he baked her special chocholatti cake, And of course he had to make her famous sweet sweeten tea to top everything off.

Everything was perfect! just marvelous! but wait? There was something missing. Willy tapped his chin as he began to think about what he was missing. “oh yes! willy shouted. “I have to find her a gift!” So willy will placed the food items in the fridge and went on his way to the mall to find grandma a gift to remember.

“mhmm, something smells good.” Sophia said to Wowwy as they walked into the kitchen. “Willy must’ve made us a treat for the party!” Sophia started walking up to the refrigerator. “I’m so hungry, i can probably eat a cow!” wowwy giggled “I need to get a sneak peek of the food before the party starts.” She turned to smile at wowwy. “Uhh Sophia, i really don’t think that we should be touching those items in the fridge.” We can get hurt just wait until Willy gets back home.”Wowwy backed into a corner afraid. “Who knows when he’s going to get back home! That could be years from now!” “Now come on stop being such a Wowwy Cat and help me open this thing. Sophia said as she tried to open the tall white refrigerator.

“Sophiaaaaaaa, but it isn’t safe. Wowwy cried out as he followed behind the curious chihuahua. He always hated how much trouble Sophia would cause because of how curious she was. “What is all that commotion i hear?” In came Martes the bull dog. “Oh well well well, he laughed an evil laughed. “If it isn’t Sophia, the annoying little pup who has the brain of an ant.”

What are you doing you little rat?” laughed Martes “Maybe if you would ask nicely, i will tell you. “Me? be nice?Well that is the dumbest thing i have ever.” He laughed, but this time it was a very rough laugh. He turned towards the hallway. “I will be back to watch you fail.” he continued his laugh as he disappeared into the darkness of the hallway.

Sophia frowned, I’ll show him that i can do it, i know that i can do it. What did Sophia do? She went into Willy’s closet and grabbed a rope and her adventure goggles from the Adventure box. She ran into the kitchen and tied the rope to the door handle of the refrigerator. “Okay Wowwy, if you help me get this open then i will give you some of the treats. Wowwy knew that he couldn’t turn this opportunity down, he nodded his head showing that he agreed with her and followed her to the fridge. They both took the rope into their mouths and pulled. “BANG!” “OUCH” yelled Sophia as she flew and landed against the cabinet “you okay?” shouted Wowwy. “yes, i’m okay. lets just try again.”

Sophia got up and shook the pain off. She took the rope into her mouth once again. They pulled and pulled, their feet sliding across the slippery tiled floors. With one more pull, the fridge finally pops open. “Awe yea!” They both shouted with excitement. Her and Wowwy danced for they have done the impossible for animals their size.

Now the tough part, climbing up to the top.” “Wowwy.. I need a hand” Wowwy looked worried. “Well Sophia all i have is paws so i don’t think that i will be much help.” Wowwy said  Sophia rolled her eyes. “Whatever wowwy, i’ll do it myself.” And before wowwy could get a word, out she was inside the fridge

“I can do this, I can do this” Sophia cheered herself on inside of her head. She knew that she could do it. She knew that she would achieve her goal. She climbed on top of the bottom left drawer of the fridge. She stood on it. “Wow that was easy.” She continue to climbed and she saw a piece of the foil sticking out from the top of the fridge. She continued climbing but started to slip, “no no no” Sophia thought. Frightened, Sophia grabbed on to the piece of foil sticking out, little did she know, the foil was attached to a fairly large pan. All of the food was on top of that as well. Sophia not realizing it, she took the foil into her mouth and held on, trying to stop herself from slipping. “I can’t watch this, Wowwy covered his eyes. She tried to climb on top of the pan when she felt herself started to lean backwards. Sophia crashed to the floor with a loud BANG. She lied there on the floor whimpering with pain. Seconds later, she got up and gasped. The food was everywhere! It was a terrible mess. Wowwy shrieked.

“Sophiaaaaaaaaa what did you do- look what you have- Sophia are you crazy! Sophia look towards the floor, “what am I going to do wowwy?” “what are you going to do?” said a voice I’ll tell you

What you’re going to do. Sophia turned around and rolled her eyes. “What do you want martes”? She screamed. “Well you little brat, I don’t like you that much, but I’m not getting in trouble for you.” Martes continued, he walks around the big mess and looks at Wowwy and Sophia. “Let’s just clean this up you rats” Mates grabbed the broom and the mop. Wowwy grabbed the trash, and Sophia grabbed the cleaning supplies. They got to work. An hour into working and they still weren’t finished. Sophia pants, “Geez how much food did he make!” Martes turned and rolled his eyes, “Will you quit complaining, you were the one who spilled everything.”

Minutes later, Sophia’s pager went off. She looked at it like she saw a ghost and read it aloud. “Hey guys, I’m just letting you know that I will be home in 20 minutes. Make sure your getting ready for grandma Nina’s party.” Everyone and everything was silent, Wowwy began to cry and he ran into his room, Martes covered his face with his hands, and Sophia held her head down ashamed in what she has done. Sophia finished trying to clean up the mess. 20 minutes passed, and Sophia heard the front door open and slam shut. “Sophia, Wowwy, i’m home.” Willy looked around the living room. “i’m in here.” Sophia responded. Sophia was sitting in the corner with her head down still ashamed. Willy walked into the kitchen and gasped. “What happened in here Sophia!” He screamed. “ I Am so sorry Willy, I was just really curious on what you made an – I- am sorry.” Willy walked over to the mess he sighed and picked up Sophia.

“Sophia, it is quite alright.” Willy smiled at her. “While i was getting grandma’s present, she called and said that she isn’t going to make it to her own party.” Willy frowned, “All that time and hard work wasted.” I even bought her this necklace.” He pulled the necklace out that had a variety of pretty colors. It was very tropical looking. Gold on the outside, and on the inside it had the diamonds in the colors pink, blue, and green.

“Alright Sophia, let’s clean this mess up.” So they cleaned and cleaned until they could see their reflections on the floor. Willy gathered all of his pets in the living room, and they watched their favorite show. Even though, grandma cancelled the party plans and Martes and Sophia argued the whole time, all Willy could think about was that he has had the best day ever.
