Once upon a time, in a valley, a little goblin, named Tirion Lannister, was imprisoned in the dungeon of a castle, he had been there since his birth. His father, King Vladimir Lannister, was ashamed of him due to his unalikely physiical appearance and thus preferred to hide rather than to undergo the population’s teasing. Tirion was the fruit of a forbidden relationship between the king and a female leprechaun from the mountains which he once possessed.

The illegitimate child was small, barely measuring more than a meter, and had very large ears. The young child had never seen himself in a mirror and did not understand the everlasting laughter of the guards who guarded him all day long. Hardly did he know that his mother lived in one of the mountains he could admire from the dungeon where he was imprisoned.

3

The nights and days passed, Tirion longed to escape and finally discovered those famous mountains. He thus started to study the guards and talk more with them. One night, a guard fell asleep near his jail after having clearly drunk too much. Tirion succeeded in slipping his hand, catching the bunch of keys and opening his prison.

Once outside, Tirion was first frightened by the noise and the crowd there despite the nightfall. So, he ran for a hide in a dead end where a youngster, named Peter Pan, was playing. He told his story to the latter who took pity and offered him his magic feather until then stuck to his head. “You are so light that my feather will help you fly on your own. You will then be able to find your mother.” Peter Pan’s prophecies came true; the magic feather stuck to Tirion’s back and led him to his mother whom he never left.

Rayka the little girl of the desert
Once upon a time in a huge country covered in sand, lived a little girl named Rayka. She was a very brave child for her age who was not afraid of the desert or of what was hidden there. She was dark-haired and the sun had tanned her skin but her eyes were of a penetrating blue so that her father said: “My daughter, your eyes are as pure as sapphires.”

Rayka’s father was a tall and strong man, who had guided his herd of camels in the desert for many years. The travellers were not very rich but knew well how to sell the milk of she-camels in the towns. One day, Rayka’s father said to her: “You are growing too quick my angel, very soon we will have to go into town to buy you some clothes.”However, Rayka’s father was in need of clothes and especially of boots too. They were torn, with holes and the sand was sliding inside. So Rayka decided to take a walk around the camp to find something to sell to town and maybe buy a pair of new boots to her father.

5

The little girl knew very well the desert as she was born there. She looked for something to sell in the sand, under the stones and doing so, she moved away from the camp. Rayka walked for a very long time and suddenly, she caught sight of a big shape in the distance.

“Is it a mirage?” She wondered, “I will go nearer.”

Very fast, Rayka found herself in front of a magnificent oasis. Its water was clear and all the trees that surrounded it were covered in fruits. Rayka drank some water and ate some fruits.
She said to herself: “I could pick them up some fruits to sell them in town, but I will not gather enough money to buy boots to my father!” “. While saying that, a salamander slid between the little girl’s feet. That one was surprised and smiled. Then on the floor she caught sight of something which sparkled, she knelt down and found a radiant ring. Rayka jumped with joy “I’ll be able to buy boots to my father!” This ring must have a lot of value! “. Immediately, the little girl put the ring in her pocket and ran towards her camp.

She ran for a long time but did not see her tent. “I don’t understand, it was the right direction” the worried little girl told herself. Suddenly Rayka saw a thick smoke approaching her. It was a sandstorm! The sand was flying in the sky and came towards the little girl. But Rayka knew what to do. She put the ring on her finger in order not to lose it and she cuddled up against a big rock. This natural shield protected her from the sandstorm.

The sun was now back, the little girl came out from her hiding-place. Unfortunately the landscape had completely changed and Rayka did not recognize the track back home. “What can I do?! cried the little girl. Then she looked at the ring which was on her finger. It was full of sand. The little girl polished it to give it more sparkling.

6

Then a blue cloud circled Rayka and a genius came out of the ring.

“Mistress I am at your command. The genius said with a hoarse tone. “Thank you for having found me because many years ago, a merchant lost me in this suffocating sand.”

“Who are you?” Murmured the little girl impressed.

“I’m Razim the genius of the magic ring. I can fulfill all the wishes of people who have a pure heart and, it’s your case.” Reyka smiled .”Can I ask you anything I want?!3

“Absolutely!” answered the genius.

“Well I want beautiful boots for my father, the most beautiful and resistant all over the world!”. The genius accomplished his duty and Reyka opened wide her eyes when appeared in front of her a pair of magnificent sparkling boots.

However, Razim questioned her, “Why are you alone here?”

“I’m lost,” replied the little girl.

“It is good to think of your father before thinking of yourself. This shows that you really have a pure heart.” Answered the genius. So with a clicking of a finger, Razim took Rayka back  to her home.
His father was reassured to see his daughter alive. Rayka gave the boots to her father and told him about her adventure. The genius was welcomed by the all village and it was said ever since, the travelers did not need to sell any more their milk. Rayka father’s boots are always as sparkling

The woodcutter got down to cut the biggest tree. Exhausted, he sat down at the foot of the tree and fell asleep.

After several hours, the woodcutter saw a silhouette in the distance. He followed it and saw a castle. The far away castle was built on a hill and a small way led to its door. Curious, he advanced carefully up to the doors of the castle, when suddenly, in a deafening noise the door opened.

The woodcutter went down his horse and entered the castle. He arrived in a big empty room lit by torches. At the end of the room, he saw an old bearded man. The woodcutter stopped and looked around him. He really began to be afraid. He went to turn around when the doors of the castle closed again violently. The woodcutter looked at the old man and this one got up to meet him. The woodcutter did not move anymore, terrified.

The old man who was very tall, carried a big blue coat and had a stick in his hand. He asked the woodcutter what he was doing there.

17

Affter an while, the woodcutter answered that he had lost and that his way had led him to the castle.

Against all expectations, the magician was delighted because he had not been visited by anybody for a long time. He was bored in his remote castle. He invited the woodcutter to share a meal with him. The woodcutter accepted the proposal of the magician. The magician had a strange behaviour. He noticed the woodcutter insistently and suddenly said :

” I need you to help me .

“How can I help you ? ” repeated the woodcutter.

“Before telling you, I must tell you a story ” And the magician began his story.

“A long time ago, robbers entered my castle. They had heard about the treasure which I kept in a locked room.”

“A treasure ? ” asked the woodcutter.

“Yes, it is a small chest which contains gold coins “

18

The woodcutter was more and more interested by what the magician was telling him. The magician continued his story.

”  Fortunately, the robbers did not find the chest. But after this misfortune, I decided to bury my treasure in the forest. And now, I don’t remember the place any more where this one is hidden.”

“What do you want me to do ? ” asked the woodcutter.

“I would like you to find my treasure ” said the magician.

The woodcutter thought and asked the magician what he would earn helping him.

The magician answered : “If you find my treasure, I will give you half of my gold coins .

The woodcutter found the offer interesting. He remembered that he had found a coin in the forest near a tree and an idea came to him.

“I agree to help you ” said the woodcutter to the magician.

19

Meanwhile, the sun had made its appearance and the woodcutter decided therefore to go looking for the treasure.

He found the place easily and started digging. After several minutes, the woodcutter found the chest.

The woodcutter, honest, went back to the far away castle. He returned the chest to the magician.

The magician thanked the woodcutter and took out a key of his mantle. He opened the chest. Then, he gave the half of his coins to the woodcutter.

The woodcutter promised the magician to come and visit him and came back home. But the woodcutter did not keep his promise.

The magician, unhappy and sad cast a spell on the woodcutter. All his harvest well lost, the trees died and his goldcoins melted.

The woodcutter had no more job, no more money and died alone some time later.
