About the author
This book is adapted from the 1999 film script by Richard Curtis. Born in New Zealand in 1956, Curtis moved to England when he was young and graduated from Oxford University. He began his career, writing for hit television shows such as Blackadder and Mr Bean, before starting in the film business. His first major film success came in 1994 with Four Weddings and a Funeral (also available in Penguin Readers). The film starred Hugh Grant, and made him famous overnight. Hugh Grant also plays William Thacker in Notting Hill. Anna Scott is played by Julia Roberts. As a huge star in her own right, she only had to play her public self for the role. Notting Hill was an immediate hit with audiences all around the world.

Important points in the story
1)Notting Hill:
Notting Hill is the name of the story, and it’s the place where the events of the story happened.
when i research about that i found that “Notting Hill” a lovely and friendly village and i think that is the reason why the author choose this village to be the place of his story.
2)Love:
The main theme of Notting Hill is love, it’s a romantic story between a normal man and a a famous woman.
many problems, many difficulties but the love is worth it to wait , maybe they wait a long time but there is love.

Friendship is another important theme in this story. in my opinion not only on the story but in the life.
in think that your friends can be your power, just like the story.

true love
“True love always wins, even if we were in two different worlds”
Written and artwork by-Nizam abu aishe
the meaning of the artwork
(The picture on the previous page)
I made this artwork inspired it by the story, “Notting Hill.”
As I read the story I draw the painting in my mind but incomplete.
After I finished the story and saw the film the painting was completed in my mind.
Symbols in the painting:
♦The Lovers symbolize to the main characters in the story:
Anna Scott and william Thacker, They are lovers in the story.
♦The Colored rain symbolizes the events of the story:
Rain starts painting with beautiful and bright light colors, Exactly like events of the story
At first everything was fine and the situation was calm, but this
colors did not remine like that cause When they began to melt formed a new, strange and dark colors.
this new colors reflect The same thing with the evolution of the events of the story, become lovers confrontation with the problems and difficulties as a result of a difference in their lifestyle.
♦The umbrella and the lovers approaching each other symbolize to the power of their true love:
although this rain the lovers stay closer together , and the umbrella is their weapon
to advocate for their love.
I decorated the bottom with sentence I am the author of it, also this sentence inspired it by the story:
“True love always wins, even if we were in two different worlds”
How I Did The Artwork
(the pictrue before 2 pages)
I finished this project I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time. I’m really pleased with the result.
A)Items i used:
1)two box of Crayola crayons.
2)40 x 40 piece of canvas panel.
3)Hot glue gun/sticks.
4)Hair dryer.
5)Black paint.
6)A piece of plastic in the form of a circle.
7)Tape.
B)Steps:
First, carefully dump out all of your crayons and put them in a big pile. Sort them into the order you want. Put them on the canvas panel, and make sure you like the way it looks.
Next, glue the crayons onto the panel. Make the line of glue extend from one end of the wrapper to the other.
While the crayons are setting, cover the floor, wall, and shelf you’ll be propping the panel up against. Make sure everything is covered in nylon cover. At first, I didn’t use enough and had melted crayon juice Everywhere!
Then You can draw a painting that you want (for example, I painted the couple with an umbrella).
when the painting dry , cover it with A piece of plastic and paste the piece with the tape to make sure when melt the crayons do not destroy the painting.
Prop the panel up against a shelf, with the crayons facing towards you.
Get out your hairdryer and attack! Put it on high heat.
First melt the tips, moving across from left to right (or right to left). Then melt what’s in the wrappers.
Be careful not to over-do it. even it looks the way you want, stop!
Leave it to dry.
You can decorate the bottom with lyrics, a quote, or leave it blank.
for instance(I wrote my sentence that i inspired from the story).
You’re done.
