The Jealous Mouse

One not-so-bright early morning, Henry the mouse hopped out of his bed and was ready to sneak out of his hole to start a new day!

Henry realized that he was sick of receiving a small portion of cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. How much cheese could one mouse handle?! It was time for change! He thought.

He stared down the family cat Chester, who gets fed like a king every single day.

“Just because I’m small, why does that mean that I have to be fed the same thing!” Henry said.

“You can talk?!” Chester asked. “Chester, I’ve been here since Martha moved in, in 02′ how do you not know this. But put that aside, I want normal food! Why aren’t we treated the same?” Henry replied. “Because I’m the family cat, and you’re just another mouse between the walls”.

“Breakfast is ready kids!” Martha said.

“Sorry Henry, gotta go join my family at breakfast!” Chester said.

“But Chester, you know pancakes covered in maple syrup is my favorite! Especially the Canadian kind!” Henry said sadly.

“Well, better keep on dreamin’ Hen!”.

Henry then realized, it was time to move out. “A place that serves cheese 3 times a day just isn’t the place for me” Henry said.
