Jack And The Singing Garbage Truck

在這個世界上，杰克最喜歡的東西就是冰淇淋。

More than anything in the world, Jack likes ice-cream.

每個禮拜日，當冰淇淋車的美妙旋律響起，杰克總是希望自己能排在第一 個。

Every Sunday when the sweet melody of the ice-cream truck is heard coming around, Jack runs outside hopes to be the first in line.

今天是杰克六歲生日，他的爸媽帶著他回臺灣探望他的外公和外婆。

Today Jack is 6 years old. His parents are taking him on a trip to Taiwan to meet with his grandparents.

他們在公園裡散步，杰克在吃冰淇淋。

In Taiwan they visit many beautiful places.

They walk in the park and Jack eats ice-cream.

他們去參觀寺廟杰克在吃冰淇淋。

They visit the Temple and Jack eats ice-cream.

他們去乘火車，杰克在吃冰淇淋。

They take the train and Jack eats ice-cream.

他們在古城裡散步，杰克在吃冰淇淋。

They visit old cities and Jack eats ice-cream.

他們去爬山，杰克在吃冰淇淋。

They go to the mountains and Jack eats ice-cream.

“杰克，來，這碗紅豆湯是你媽媽在你這年紀時最喜歡的甜點。”外婆說。“我要吃冰淇淋！”杰克一邊說一邊將紅豆湯推到旁邊。

“Jiékè, here, have a sweet red bean desert,  your mother’s favorite when she was your age,” says Granma.
“I want ice-cream!” cries Jack pushing the red bean bowl aside.

這時，一段熟悉的旋律從窗外傳入。“冰淇淋車！”杰克大聲地叫著，並從椅子上跳下來跑到窗邊。

A familiar sound is heard outside the window. “The ice cream truck,” shouts Jack, jumps of the chair and rushes to the window.

“冰淇淋車在哪裡？”杰克問。

“Where is the ice cream truck?” says Jack.

當外婆打開門與媽媽一起提著塑膠袋走吃去時，杰克衝到外面並且排到了第一個。

Granma opens the door; she and mother are holding plastic bags in their hands. In no time Jack rushes outside to be the first in line.

他疑惑地望向四周並詢問 “冰淇淋車在哪裡？小朋友們在哪裡？”。

“Where is the ice cream truck and where are all the kids?” asks Jack looking side to side.

這時，杰克驚奇地問道：“難道垃圾車就是冰淇淋車？”

“The ice-cream truck is a garbage truck?” asks Jack in wonder.

“這是一台會唱歌的垃圾車，在這裡把垃圾拿出來可是很有趣的喔。”媽媽笑著告訴他 ，鄰居也都笑了起來。

“This is a Singing Garbage Truck and here taking out the trash is fun,” says mother and laugh together with all the neighbors.
