This will be a very easy race’,  thought the hare.

So the hare decided to have a rest, and he quickly fell asleep at the side of the road.

Suddenly, the hare  woke up and he saw tortoise ahead of him!

‘How did he get ahead of me?’ the hare asked himself..

The hare ran past the tortoise easily.

Soon, he  couldn’t see the tortoise, so he sat down and he had another rest.

Then the hare got up and continued the race.

A turtoise is another word for Turtle-  צב

And a hare is another word for a Rabbit- ארנבת

The moral of story is that “Slow and steady wins the race.” Although Turtoise was much slower than Hare he never gave up. He kept going at his own slow and steady pace. This is a lesson that we should take with us for life. Sometimes, things may be taking much slower than we want them to such as learning a new language, or getting a degree, but we must always remember that “slow and steady wins the race.”
