The Arrogant Magician

The magician LeRoy von Valoon the Baron, second cousin to the royal, exalted, hereditary clown, was not feeling happy, he was feeling down.
His assistant magician did not play with cards, did not disappear behind fiery bars. The magician LeRoy von Valoon (and Lord too) was feeling pretty blue. He was sad, his face was ashen, like the late John. His former assistant.
John had brawn but little brains, and was forced to help with Leroy’s little games, (so when John had an idea), he took some matches and some gas, and set magical fire to his hat. The hat turned gray, and then fell away, to reveal some flammable wood, which fed the fire, and made his situation really quite dire.
“Aha”! said John, “I know that soon, I will show that LeRoy von Valoon, that I can be a magician too”! And with a clap, he conjured his hat, but mistakenly put it back on his head.
The flaming hat, with the hungry fire, was not at all what poor John had desired, and his last words were: “If only there had been some rain today”!
And that, without question, just goes to say;
Study hard to improve your brain!
That His funeral will be on Saturday!
