Scordia,
where I live and work,
is well famous for red oranges.
This recipe is very common in our territory
INGREDIENTS
6 oranges
1 medium red onion, sliced into very thin rings
fresh basil leaves, shredded
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoon vinegar
salt
black pepper
COOKING EQUIPMENT
knife
a large plate
DIRECTIONS:
Peel the oranges.
Slice into rounds.
Arrange the slices on a large plate.
Lay the onion slices on top of the oranges and sprinkle with the shredded basil.
Drizzle olive oil and vinegar over the salad, and season generously with salt and black pepper.
Cover and let stand at room temperature for one hour.
