Question: Think of a choice you have made. Do you have any regrets? Do you think your life would have been different if you had made a different choice?

Answer: The choice I chose to tell about was one that I took somewhat a year ago: Me and a bunch of other guys were hyped with nationalism and the idea of joining the military in order to become border guards.

Anyways, we heard about this new boarding school that trains young men into the police, also borders police (also known as military).

Now the problem is that its a boarding school, and it was hard to sacrifice everything for what you love. Before you had nothing to do for the country, because you were young, whereas now you have an actual chance to do something.

Long story short, sadly, none of us were extremist enough and we gave up on the opportunity. Besides one guy.

till that day I am still reconsidering it: should I have chosen to go for the best route for me, or should I have taken a different one which could’ve been better?

Question: Re-write the poem only this time try to use the perspective of the poet when he is old.
May now he is more certain about his decision(strongly regrets it or strongly supports it)?

Answer:I think the choice I made years ago was smart, because I wanted my own special route – the route most won’t go for because it seems less “worn and grassy”, (as Frost would say…). I may very well be the first ever to go for that route.

Well, I had no idea whether it’s good or bad, nor do I know what will happen there – who knows? Maybe it’s harder.

Long story short, In life you need to take some risks. Otherwise, you won’t manage to go far. Hell, I can never be sure, but what I do know is that because of that choice I did better in life. So, yeah, I am quite sure I chose the better route.

Dear Guy, I enjoyed reading your story. I too was pretty much “hyped” about the army when I was your age, (though I’d never considered joining the boarding school). Sticking up to your choice is admirable – I’m still learning that lesson myself!
