The Adventures of Molly the Water Molecule

Hi I’m Molly and I’m a water molecule I have had many adventures in my life. I have swam in the deep tides of the Atlantic ocean and met a bear in the woods of Russia. I’m here to share all of my adventures with you so lets go!

I was born in the ocean as happy as i could be I was always playing with my friends, brothers, and sisters. We would rock the boats in the ocean, play with the fish and play hide and seek in the reef. Until one day we were rocking the boat and i got shot up onto the boat. I layed there alone and scared until I was too hot to breathe and I was flying up into the air.

I was flying in the sky and met another water molecule exept they didn’t look as scared as I did. Her name was Mia and she was very friendly and taught me that I wasn’t flying when I got hot on the boat I had evaporated into the sky and I am now a cloud. I stayed here playing with Mia for about 1 week or so Mia told me the only reason I have stayed so long is because I’m clinging to a dust particle. Until 1 day I didn’t feel very good and starting falling faster and faster and faster.

I was falling faster faster and faster until i hit something and started floating around. I met someone that looked that me and his name was Marvin, he told me that we were in a lake. I asked Marvin how I got here and he said that when I was in the clouds i condensed and fell into the lake. Marvin and I became great friends we would watch the boats go by, tipped the kayakers and played with the swimmers. One day I started getting pulled farther and farther downward until I was getting sucked into this black and brown wet stuff.

I was in this black and brown stuff and I met another water molecule named Milicent she told me that I was in ground water. Milicent told me that the pulling feeling I felt was actually gravity and it pulled me until I filtered into the soil. Milicent and I had a great time being groundwater we played with the insects and looked at the kids feet while they stomped around in the mud. One day I started drifting into a new place it was narrow and moving fast and I had no idea where I was.

I was swimming confused and scared until I met Madison she told me that I was in a river, I was moving fast because of the current and I got here because the water filtered from the ground water to the river. Madison and I talked about all the places we had been and people we had met until we saw a bear coming out of the woods and he took a drink of the river and took me with him.

This time I did know where I was but I was not happy about. I didn’t think that there was a way to get out of the bear until suddenly I started getting pulled down the bear until suddenly I was in the chunky brown ground.

I met another water molecule while I was in the ground his name was Michael. Michael told me that when I left the bear I actually got excreted through the bears’ urine. I also learned that I’m not in the ground I’m in the soil. Michael and I got along right away we talked and played and became best friends. I stayed in the soil for about 3 to 4 days before I started moving into these long vines.

Right when I got out of the long vine like structure I met a leaf named leah and she told me that I was in a plant. When I told him that I came from being soil he said that I got absorbed by the roots into the plant. Leah told me all about how plants work and how bee’s polinate the plants. Then I started to get the same feeling as I did when I went to clouds.

I was evaporating up into the sky and out of nowhere I saw Mia and I knew I was back in the clouds. It was great catching up with Mia she told me that while I was going on all these great adventures Mia stayed in the clouds. She said that it all depended on luck, whether you stayed where you were or got to go on amazing adventures. Almost immedietly after she finished telling me what happened I started falling until I was back in the ocean reunited with my friends and family.
