Some of us think that smiling is wrong,

But laughing hyenas?

They smile all day long.

Except for Gloomeris,

For him,

Nothing is humorous.

Do you know the jokes about the donkey and the bunny?

Gloomeris doesn’t think they’re funny.

His parents tried everything

Nothing seemed to work.

Gloomeris was as serious

As a hotel clerk.

One day his parents were in luck

Uncle Guffaw told them

About Dr. Cluck

They went to his office

And waited in line

With a kangaroo and

A porcupine

Dr. Cluck said

“I’m never wrong”

And began to sing a funny song.

“Stand upside down

Dressed like a clown

Take a photograph,

And you’ll begin to laugh”.

Then he tapped his feet

He patted his chin

And invited

The very next patient in.

Gloomeris got home and

went straight to bed

Too sad to do

What the doctor said.

One day he thought

I’ll give it a try,

Perhaps it will kiss

My frown goodbye.

When he looked

At the photograph,

He suddenly began to laugh.

Gloomeris finally began to see

“There’s no one funnier than me!”

Then out came

Ha

And Hee Hee Hee

No one is funnier than me!

And when he turned the photo around

He saw his frown

Was an smile upside-down!!

Today Gloomeris is a stand-up sensation

Someday we’ll go

To see his show!!

And whenever he’s down or

Out of luck

He just remembers

Dr. Cluck!!!
