שִׁבְעָה”.
סְפֹר מֵחָדָשׁ, טָעִיתָ!
מָה שֵׁם הַצֶּבַע שֶׁרָאִיתָ”?
אֵין לוֹ שֵׁם
לַצֶּבַע הַשְּׁמִינִי,
הוּא זוֹרֵחַ בְּקֶשֶׁת לְמַעֲנִי.
רַק אֲנִי רוֹאֶה אוֹתוֹ,
רַק אֲנִי.

What’s the name of color number Eight?”
I have no name
For color eight,
It shines in the rainbow for me.

And we fled from the city lights to the sea
Apologizing to no one
For seeking distance
From human tumult
The sand there still embraced
The lingering warmth of the sun
That had long since drifted to sleep
As it kissed our feet
The bare sidewalks etched by its grains
Imprinted our footsteps upon its surface
There, for the first time, you picked a flower for me
To illuminate my heart with its sunlit hues
Yet I was unaware that our lives are as fleeting as its bloom

There was a time / Heda Rom
There was a time
When the cypresses could dance,
Time Was pinned to the ground,
Frozen, guarding the beds
Until the cypresses could root Once more.
There was a time
When the cypresses could dance
Birds landed on the moon,
And the air, emptied, rested.
The seasons did not push one another away
Clouds carried the muezzin’s call,
And the sun,
As a golden coin
Ignored gravity
Peered up behind the cypress,
As time smiled
And listened.

וּמַרְעִישׁ רַק הַנֵּס
שֶׁלְּשִׁירֵי מִלְחָמָה יֵשׁ עָתִיד לְלֹא מִלְחָמוֹת.
כִּי אָדָם הוּא שׁוּרוֹת
לַנְּשָׁמָה.
יִכָּנֵס הַנֵּס לָגוּר בְּתוֹכָהּ,
וְהַכֹּל יִתְעוֹרֵר בָּעוֹלָם
בִּתְמוּרָה
עַל סִפּוּר הַרְפַּתְקָאוֹת
עִם שׁוּרַת אַהֲבָה,

A person will remain a line of love, to be remembered.
Only the miracle echoes.
That war songs hold a future without wars.
For a person is the lines
Of the soul.
The miracle will dwell within,
And the world will awaken
In exchange

All my loves
I sowed in autumn
As the tree shed
Its golden leaves
Between fall and spring
Between cloud and sunrise
They sprouted and blossomed
In crimson bloom.
But when the summer heatwave came
I couldn’t understand how or when
They burned, melted,
My loves had faded away.
