Google was founded on September 4, 1998, by American computer scientists Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were PhD students at Stanford University in California. The company went public via an initial public offering (IPO) in 2004. In 2015, Google was reorganized as a wholly owned subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. Google is Alphabet’s largest subsidiary and is a holding company for Alphabet’s internet properties and interests. Sundar Pichai was appointed CEO of Google on October 24, 2015, replacing Larry Page, who became the CEO of Alphabet. On December 3, 2019, Pichai also became the CEO of Alphabet

The famous and recognizable Google logo symbolizes the number 10 with one hundred zeros and expresses the great power of the system, emphasizing the relationship through the original name. A simple and understandable system, and user-friendliness of the interface, all reflect the modern Google identity.

Google has a mini-emblem in the form of a capital “G.” It consists of several color segments: blue, green, yellow, and red. The rainbow letter is used as an icon for a voice search service, a favicon for web resources, and an icon for a mobile application.

Until 2015, the logo contained various modifications of the Catull font. After the final redesign, a new font, Product Sans, was introduced. The “e” has a beveled line as a symbol of the company’s non-standard character. The inscription color is not uniform, catchy: the letters are painted in bright shades of red, green, blue, and yellow, which contrast with each other and are strongly associated with Google products.
