Renewable energy
Renewable energy is the energy that can be obtained from natural resources and can be permanently reinforced by nature. Let’s start by clearing what we mean by “reinforcing energy”. The source of these energies is “nature”; It is obtained from energy sources that exist in continuous, natural processes. Continuous natural processes are used for the supply of renewable energy. Renewable energy; permanently for facilities, animals or human reasons.
cannot be consumed. Natural resources are used for energy production, the resources used are energy resources that can renew themselves much faster than the rate of depletion, so there is no such thing as “exhaustion”. Renewable energy, in other words, sustainable energy, is a type of energy that can be used continuously, regardless of a source that can be consumed as it is used. Renewable energy source is the name given to the sources from which this type of energy is obtained.
Renewable energy sources
wind energy, solar energy, biomass energy, hydraulic energy, geothermal energy and wave energy. Solar energy and wind power plants are the ones whose costs have decreased the most from these sources, which started to replace fossil fuels in the period between 2010-2020.

SCP
In order to ensure the inclusion of resource efficiency practices in the industry, to encourage the development of environmentally friendly business models that support the Circular Economy, and to create policy tools that support these actions, it has started to develop a Sustainable Consumption and Production National Action Plan (STU-UEP) and Roadmap.
The plan will also provide an opportunity to renew the declaration of intent for international STU and Circular Economy programs such as SwitchMed, which Turkey has not yet joined.
In this context, the United Nations Mediterranean Action Plan’s Regional Action Center for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP/RAC) provides technical support for the development and implementation of STU policies and practices. SCP/RAC is working with REC Turkey to develop the Baseline Study for the preparation of STU-UEP
