WHAT IS COMMUNICATION?
Communication is the exchange of feelings, thoughts, behaviors and information between two people or groups of people, sender and receiver.
The person communicates with those around him in order to lead a healthy and happy life in the social environment. In addition, communication is very necessary in order to meet the spiritual – physical needs. Communication is essential for the healthy operation of social laws and rules. This shows that communication is the link that connects a person to his near and far surroundings.
IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION
Man is a collective creature. Therefore, Communication constitutes an inevitable and important dimension of human life, which is a social being. Every person living in society is in communication with each other, whether they realize it or not. People convey their feelings, thoughts, dreams and problems to each other through communication. Through communication, people understand each other, share their problems, and find solutions to their problems. In other words, communication is at the center of human life.
A person is in constant communication with his family, friends, neighbors and surroundings. Throughout history, people have always given importance to communication and have been in constant communication. Paintings of early humans on the cave wall were a means of telling someone something. Smoke, fire, even pigeons were used as means of agreement. Now we have countless ways of communication and human beings can communicate with someone on the other side of the earth or even in outer space.
In cases where communication does not occur, the person sees himself in a vacuum and feels a great loneliness. In fact, a person who never speaks may even forget to speak in time. Especially nowadays, there are communication problems. Most of the time, we cannot establish a healthy communication with our friends, mother, father and brother while we communicate with people far away by means of telephone and Internet.
ITEMS OF COMMUNICATION
Sender (Source): It is the person or group that has the say in conveying feelings, thoughts and wishes.Buyer: It is the person or community to which feelings, thoughts and wishes are conveyed.
Message: It is the feelings, thoughts, wishes and messages that the sender conveys to the receiver.
Channel: The way or means by which the sender sends the message to the receiver.
Context: It is the environment in which the elements of communication create together.
Feedback (Feedback): Any response from the receiver to the sender.
There is also a password. The sender can send his message in writing, with pictures, numbers, etc. can transfer. Here is a password for each of them. In the classroom, the teacher asked her students not to “speak at all for a day”. His students also gave a negative response to this.
In this communication, there are “sender-message-receiver” elements. The element that initiates the communication; is the sender. In order for the communication to be healthy, the sender must consider the receiver and his situation. Otherwise, the communication will fail.
Indicator is one of the basic concepts in communication activity. Because in communication, not entities and objects; their symbols are used. The most common and most useful indicators are language indicators. In addition, language indicators are very meaningful, they can gain connotations.

ACTIVE LISTENING
Active listening is a listening skill that focuses on understanding and making sense of the other person’s speech. Active listening uses techniques such as making eye contact, asking, summarizing, and repeating to help understand the message and resolve disagreements.
RIGHT BODY LANGUAGE
Body language is very important in the communication process. Correct body language makes the message easier to understand and increases confidence in communication. By using body language, it is possible to underline, emphasize or tone the message.

Communication technology refers to all of the tools and technologies used to facilitate communication. Communication technology has greatly affected business and daily life by facilitating communication between people. Communications technology includes:

E-mail is a written communication tool that is widely used in business and daily life. Email is delivered quickly and can be answered as needed.

Video conferencing is a tool used to provide distance communication in business and education. Video conferencing provides video communication and allows people to communicate face to face.

Social media is a communication tool that facilitates interaction between people. Social media allows people to interact with each other, share and follow news.
Websites
Websites are a communication tool used for the purpose of introducing a company or a person, promoting a product or service, and providing information.
Communication technology speeds up communication, making it easier and more accessible. However, dependence on technology, lack of face-to-face communication and some other problems limit the use of communication technology. Therefore, it is important that technology is used correctly and that the use of technology does not affect relationships between people.
