Hello everyone!
Today, in 2023 we all know and feel that we must speak English well.
The big question is how to learn and improve it in a way that will be pleasant, easy and of course good for us.
In this book I will give several tips.

2

The first and most important tip in my opinion is that we must understand that learning the language should be pleasant and good enough for us to be able to persist in it.
How do we make studying pleasant? An important question and the answer to it is very simple!
In order for our brain to have fun and feel a desire to persevere, we must touch on topics that interest us, but in English!
I will give you an example:
Let’s say you really like to cook,
The next time you search for a recipe on Google, search for a recipe in English.
When you use the recipe, I assume you will come across words you don’t know, which you will translate and thus from each recipe you use you will discover a new vocabulary!

There are endless such examples – reading non-fiction articles that interest us in English, reading articles, etc…

I usually do meditations in English, here is an example for you 🙂

The second tip is to take private lessons from teachers all over the world.
I will tell you about my personal experience.
About 5 months ago I found a website that gives private lessons in English by Filipinos. The site is called IFAL.
On this website you can take lessons for only NIS 19 per lesson (!!).
Each lesson lasts 25 minutes, and the lessons can be scheduled in advance and also spontaneously! – for example, you can schedule a lesson for another half hour from now.
There are hundreds of teachers, and you can schedule a lesson with the same teacher you know or choose each time a teacher you want.

Before class you fill out a form on what you would like to work on in class – on reading comprehension/ free conversation/ business conversation/ a certain topic etc…
It’s really nice! Because then, for example, I can schedule a free conversation lesson and simply talk to the teacher about life just like I talk to a friend.
My experience was very pleasant, I met people from all over the world, I heard stories from them and above all I worked on my confidence in conducting a free conversation in English.

My third tip is to listen to songs that I like in English and are on your playlist while looking at the lyrics.
It’s both fun, educational and provides depth on songs we already know.
After you do this, you will see that the next time you hear the song you know, you will enjoy it more and understand every word the singer sings.
Example of a song:

yellow by coldplay

Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called Yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh, what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow
Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh, what a thing to do
‘Cause you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh, what a thing to do
And it was all yellow
And your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know, for you, I’d bleed myself dry
For you, I’d bleed myself dry
It’s true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

My fourth and final tip is that your interfaces be in the English language.
What does that mean?
Change the language of your computer, phone and even your thoughts to the English language!
Even there you will be surprised to find out how many little words there are that we don’t know and we can learn them right in our daily life.

In conclusion, I am glad that you chose to read the book and I really hope that I helped you to improve your English even a little!
