THE LITTLE GUIDE

The Little Guide (1 and 2) is really an innovation! No wonder we are investing in it. It is very important to initiate wisdom in children and young people who will grow up with it.

This work is very special for children, young people and adults alike because, although it is written in a child-juvenile style, its content is true and important for everyone—and each one can reflect on it according to their own capacity to understand, as well as take the information from it to their heart.

3

That Through this work may the recognition and love of Hashem be propagated more and more in the world.

STORIES FOR NOAHITES CHILDREN AND YOUTH

THE SEVEN THINGS WE ALL MUST DO

“There are seven things that all of us must do, no matter who we are or where we live. Without these seven things it would be impossible for mankind to live together in harmony.

These are the seven things that THE OWNER of Heaven and Earth, THE ETERNAL G-D (also called HASHEM), gave to our ancestors (Adam and Noah).

9

They are universal rules for all times, for all people and for all places. These laws were made by Hashem Who is eternal and unchanging and therefore they are also eternal and unchanging.

The seven things G-d wants from every person are the Seven Laws of the Sons of Noah from the Torah.”

— Chabad

THE SEVEN COMMANDMENTS* OF G-D FOR THE NOAHITES = THE DESCENDANTS OF NOAH

* Also known as the Seven Laws of Noah; The Seven Universal Laws; or, The Seven Noahitic Laws

When Noah and Naamah and their 3 sons and the respective wives of those 3 sons came out of the ark, Hashem combined on one thing with them, which was all mankind at that time. What Hashem combined with mankind was that HE would never again bring a universal Flood even when mankind did not respect G-D’s Commandments.

11

This means that there may indeed be disasters through water, such as floods, tsunamis… however, not something that will cover the entire Earth as happened in Noah’s Flood.

Along with this promise from Hashem (that there will never again be a Universal Flood), Hashem also gave to humanity (which was a single family at that time) Seven basic, principal, Obligations, for us to build a wonderful world to live in (see the message from boy Abraham).

12

This which has been combined between G-D and all mankind (the Divine promise not to bring another Universal Flood, and the Divine Obligations that each of us has to practice) is called the Covenant of the Heavenly Arc.

This is the Original Faith, the Faith that G-D HIMSELF Gave to all human beings.

13

Seven hundred and ninety-two years after the Flood, when G-d gave the Torah—the bible (the original bible)—to our master Moses and the Jewish people on Mount Sinai (three million people), HE commanded the 10 Commandments (which are based on the Seven Commandments of Noah*) for them—for the people of Israel—and he ordained the Seven Commandments of Noah for all people of all peoples of the world.

14

* The Rebbe explained:
“The 10 Commandments consisted largely of Laws already ordained for the non-Jewish world. What, then, was so important in the Giving of the Torah at Sinai?

At Sinai, “G-D pronounced all these words.” There is no comparison between hearing something from a flesh and blood person and hearing it directly from the ONIPOTENT G-D Himself.
G-D, THE KING of kings, came from on high, and HE spoke to each individual Jew, “I am Hashem, YOUR G-D, THE ONE Who brought you (Jew) out of Egypt.”

15

Explaining: In the Rainbow Covenant, Hashem spoke through a prophecy to Noah, and Noah was charged with passing on the Divine Laws to his family, and subsequently them to others.

Already on Mount Sinai, three million Jews personally witnessed Hashem choosing them as the privileged people to receive from Hashem the Torah to fulfill and study it, and to teach Morality and Spirituality (through the Universal Obligations) to all the other peoples of the world.

16

In fact, on the occasion of the handing over of the bible, of the Torah, to the Jewish people on Mount Sinai, all the peoples of the world and all of Creation felt and realized that at that moment Hashem was handing over the Torah to the People of Israel, and that is why that even the world’s greatest religions have never managed to deny that Hashem gave the Torah to the Jewish people.

17

Rabbi Yerachmiel Altman explains:
“The Torah—which was given by Hashem to the Jewish people—teaches us the Divine Obligations that we all must practice. This allows us to connect with Hashem, for HE cares about each one of us.
By practicing the Divine Obligations each day, we prepare the world for Hashem to come to feel comfortable revealing Himself to all the people of all the peoples of the world just as HE did when HE revealed Himself on Mount Sinai to the people of Israel at the Giving of the Torah.”

18

SEVEN UNIVERSAL MITSVOT

The Seven principal Obligations of all humanity, i.e., the Seven Universal Commandments, are:

1. We must not practice idolatry = know Hashem;

2. We must not curse THE NAME of GOD = respect and praise Hashem;

3. We must not murder = respect life;

19

4. We must not steal = respect the property of others;

5. We should not have marriages (or relationships) that GOD does not allow = respect the family (as it was created by GOD);

6. We must not ingest a living animal or ingest a part of it that has been disaggregated while it was still alive = respect the animals; (besides: We must not be cruel;)

20

7. We must establish (just) social laws = maintain justice.

Having presented the Seven Universal Laws, it is important for us to know:
Belief in God is a precondition for all (seven) Laws to have value. Respecting and praising THE CREATOR is an offshoot of the Prohibition not to curse Him. Respecting our family, and respecting all creatures, are obligations that common sense commits us to.

Here is what Noahites kids and young people from Brazil said about these books by Rabbi Altman.

24

Elias Araújo, a 5-year-old Noahite Brazilian boy:
“Daddy showed me the things in the books. There are things that we can and cannot do. You can’t steal, take what belongs to others…. . The rabbi’s books have several animals. You can’t treat animals badly. We have to do good things for Hashem. Everybody can buy the rabbi’s books because [these books] are so cool.”

25

Natan Silva, a 10-year-old Noahite Brazilian boy:
“Super educational books about G-d, Who created the world. Read them with all your family members. [These books] help you to learn about G-d, the universe, life. You will help the world and G-d will be very happy with you, and so we will be taking care of the world and who we love.”

26

Matheus Oliveira, 20-year-old Noahite:
“The books are very good: full of illustrative images and rhymes, contain stories and explain the seven laws of Noah.”

27

Douglas Brito, 43-year-old Noahite, and father of Noahite children:
“Rabbi Altman’s books are perfect in every aspect. Besides the rhyme in a language suitable for children and the pictures, the Rabbi touches on many topics of our daily lives that are extremely important for any child in the world. These books are very welcome and necessary.”

EXCLUSIVE MESSAGE FROM RABBI SHIMSHON BISKER
FOR THE READERS OF THE LITTLE GUIDE

29

Shalom to all!

Do you know who Nimrod was?
Not everyone knows who Nimrod was.

Nimrod was Noah’s great-grandson (Cham’s grandson and Kush’s son). He was a wicked king. He reigned over the entire population of the Earth.
In addition to being an idolater and perverse, he was a murderer.
He convinced all mankind to serve idols instead of serving Hashem, the One True God Who created and maintains all Creation.

30

About the period of Nimrod’s reign, it is written in the Torah (Bereshit/Genesis 11:1):
“The whole Earth had only one language (…)”.

Nimrod suggested building a city where everyone could live together and raising a huge tower. All nations accepted with joy. The construction of this tower became the main objective of the people of that generation.
They used that strength of union they had to build a great tower that reached Heaven.

Why were they so excited about this idea?

31

Among the intentions of the people were different reasons for building the tower:

Some thought: -“If there is another flood, we can save ourselves by climbing the tower.”

Others thought, “We can get together there and worship our idols.”

A third group of people thought: -“We will put an idol on top of the tower with a sword in its hand to declare war against God.”

32

There was another group of even lower level people.
Who were they? What did they think?

They were people who denied the existence of God and said that everything that happened was chance. Simply a work of nature.
So they said, “Every 1656 years a flood occurs, so we will build a tower to prevent us.”

What did Hashem do? HE confused the tongues, and then dispersed all the people all over the face of the whole earth.

33

Curiosity:
The Hebrew name ‘Bavel’ (Babylon) has the root of the word ‘Balal’, which means confused, to allude to the place where God confused the language of the world.

God applied to each group a sentence in accordance with his intention.
To some was applied the sentence of dispersion, to others the confusion of languages, and, to the group that wished to declare war against HIM, the punishment was greater.

Hashem transformed them into evil entities and Chimpanzees. From there we can see the similarity of these apes with the human being.

34

One of the things we can learn from this episode is that when Hashem gives us strength, or when a group joins their strength, it is very important to see what purpose the person or group is using it for: whether for a good thing, to help each other, or whether to a bad thing, such as laughing and mocking other people.

35

I wish all of you, young people and children noahites, that you can continue firm and strong doing the Will of Hashem in the best way possible.

To the person in charge of the Little Guide and the Site Bnei Noach Project Noaism Info, I wish you much success, because the work he do to help, support and guide the Bnei Noach is done loyally with much effort and love. A very important work.

All the best,
Shimshon Bisker.

SEVEN BIBLE TEXTS FOR NOAHITES CHILDREN

Rabbi Dr. Jacob Immanuel Schochet (Chabad), the first supervising rabbi of the Ask Noah International Organization, recommends seven verses from the Jewish Bible (Tanach) for Noahites children to learn and recite.

We ask all children to memorize them and say them every night before going to sleep.

37

1. Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

2. Genesis 5:1
“On the day that God created human beings, HE made them in the likeness of God.”

3. Psalm 34:15
“Avoid evil and do good, seek peace and follow it.”

38

4. Psalm 145:9
“Hashem is good to all and HIS mercies extend over all HIS works.”

5. Proverbs 15:3
“Everywhere the eyes of Hashem are watching the bad and the good.”

39

6. Job 28:28
“The fear of Hashem is wisdom, and to know shunning evil is intelligence.”

7. Isaiah 48:17
“Thus says Hashem, your REDEEMER, THE HOLY ONE of Israel: I am Hashem, your God, who teaches you for your own benefit, who leads you down the path you must follow.”

40

WHAT DID ALL THE THINGS?

Who did all things was Hashem.
Hashem is how we call God, THE HEAVENLY FATHER (which means: THE FATHER of the Universe or THE FATHER of the World), our CREATOR.

Hashem is THE DADDY of everything in Heaven:
The FATHER of the sun, the moon and the stars and the FATHER of the planet.

41

Hashem is THE FATHER of all nature:
The FATHER of the sea and the river, the mountain, the wind, the cloud and the rain, the lightning and thunder, the celestial arc, the cold and the heat, day and night.

42

Hashem is THE CREATOR of all plants, of all trees, of all flowers.

Hashem is THE CREATOR of all fruits.

Hashem is the CREATOR of all animals.

Hashem is the CREATOR of all people.

43

Hashem did everything. Hashem created all things. Hashem is THE CREATOR of all things.

Hashem, THE GOD, is our Dear GOD.
HE is our KING.

Hashem is ONE.

ADAM AND HAVAH

The World’s First People

53

“O que você está construindo aí?” – as pessoas perguntavam.
