Plan an internal meeting
You have to know which departments are going to use the solution and plan a meeting with them to find out their needs. The objective is to have a list of requirements that covers the needs of all the user profiles that will use the tool. The final document can prioritize distinguishing basic requirements from desirable ones.
Schedule presentations with vendors
Now it’s time for the reps of each solution to give you a demo to see how their product works. It will be easier for you to see how they solve your main needs and you will be better able to ask them questions. If the decision is made by several managers, it is convenient for all of them to be present. It is interesting that the CEO or some head of the company is present.
Select the best long-term solution
Evaluate suppliers, talk to colleagues, review their proposals… It’s time to request any clarification and review this entire guide to make sure you don’t miss any important points.
