Our story began
With a very rich man
Who lived in a very poor town.
2
Instead of helping his neighbors
He moved away to Moab
With his wife and two young sons
4
Moab was a bad town
and the people there were bad too.
And the little family adapted
and started acting bad too
6
Years passed and the boys grew up,
one of them married orpa
and the other married Ruth.
8
Because of their bad behavior,
the father and the two boys died,
leaving Naomi orpa and Ruth alone.
10
Naomi told Ruth and orpa
that they should go back to their homes,
because she was going back to her hometown.
12
Orpa went back to her house,
but Ruth stayed and said
“wherever you go, I’ll follow you. I’ll stay by your side”.
14
When they got to Naomi’s hometown,
they were poor,
so Naomi told Ruth to go pick wheat
from the field of Boaz
16
The second That Boaz saw Ruth,
they fell in love and then they got married,
and they lived happily ever after.
18
And thanks to the goodness of Boaz and Ruth,
from them came
king David!
20
I admire Naomi mostly because she had to watch her husband and her kids die one one after the other and then she left the life she had and moved away to start over.
to me accepting the Torah means to take on myself to learn it and live by it.
