Method 1: Registering the dll file to resolve QuickBooks error C 343

You may encounter QuickBooks error C 343 due to a compatibility issue between Windows and your QuickBooks application. You can solve the problem by registering the necessary dll file.
Follow the steps below if using a 32-bit computer system:
• Open your computer and click on the ‘Start’ menu.
• Type “command” and right-click the “Command Prompt” search result.
• Select the option ‘Run as administrator

• Type the command “Regsvr32 MSXML3.dll” and hit the ‘Enter’ key.

• When you get the message saying “success”, restart your QuickBooks application.
If you are using a 64-bit computer, the steps are as follows:
• Type “cmd” after clicking the “Start” button.
• Open the ‘Command Prompt’ in the search result as an administrator.
• Open your computer’s C drive, click ‘Windows’ and then go to ‘syswow64

• Press ‘OK’ and then type “Regsvr32 MSXML3.dll” and hit the ‘Enter’ key.
• Type “Regsvr32 MSXML4.dll” and press the ‘Enter’ key again.
• Restart your application once you receive the success message.

 

Method 2: Reinstalling MS XML files

If registering the MS XML files does not resolve the error, you must reinstall them on your computer. Find the detailed steps below:

• Open your web browser and Google “Microsoft Core XML Files”.
• Click on the search result to access the download page.
• Download the MS XML file and click the downloaded msXML.msi file to install it.
• Restart your QuickBooks application and check if the error is resolved.

In addition to MS XML files, there are some other factors that can also affect compatibility. If the above methods do not resolve the error, try disabling compatibility mode for the QBW32 file

 

Method 3: Disable QBW32.exe file compatibility

• Open File Explorer window and go to C drive.
• Access the QuickBooks installation folder under ‘Program Files’.
• Find the QBW32.exe file in the installation folder and right-click on it.
• Select the ‘Properties’ option.
• Go to the ‘Compatibility’ section and uncheck the box saying ‘Run this program in compatibility mode’.
• Click on the ‘OK’ button for the changes to take effect.

 

 

Open QuickBooks and log in to your company file to see if the error is resolved using these steps. You can also try running the QuickBooks File Doctor tool or the QB Install Diagnostic Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub if the error persists
