ÇEVRECİ ÇOCUKLARIN ORMANI

        Defne heyecanla erkenden uyandı. Öğretmeni ve arkadaşları ile birlikte okullarının yakınındaki ormana geziye gideceklerdi. Hava çok güzeldi. Ormana geldiklerinde ilk dikkatini çeken etrafa dağılmış olan kırık cam parçaları ve çöpler oldu.

Defne woke up early with excitement. She was going on a trip to the forest near their school with her teacher and friends. The weather was beautiful. When they arrived in the forest, the first thing that caught their attention was the scattered pieces of glass and garbage.

    Defne hemen öğretmenine koştu,şaşkınlıkla sordu:

-Kuşların sesi,çiçeklerin mis kokusu arasında bu cam kırıklarını kim getirdi öğretmenim ?

Öğretmen çocukları meşe ağacının gölgesine oturttu ve başladı anlatmaya:

      Defne immediately ran to her teacher and asked in surprise:-Who brought these glass shards between the sound of the birds and the smell of the flowers, teacher? The teacher made the children sit in the shade of the oak tree and began to explain:

-“Çocuklar, ormanlık alana atılan  cam atıklar orman yangınlarına sebep olur.”

Çınar merakla ” Peki öğretmenim bu cam kırıkları nasıl yangına sebep oluyor? ” diye sordu.

Zeynep öğretmen ” Cam güneş ışığını bir büyüteç gibi çimenlere çeker ve çimenler ve çalılar tutuşarak yangına sebep olur ” dedi.

-“Children, glass waste thrown into the forest area causes forest fires.” Çınar curiously asked, “Well, teacher, how do these glass shards cause a fire?”Teacher Zeynep said, “The glass attracts sunlight to the grass like a magnifying glass, and the grass and bushes ignite, causing a fire.”

Defne ‘‘ Öğretmenim,bu ormanlarımıza zarar verir. ’’ diye söyledi.

Zeynep öğretmen ‘’Evet haklısın Defne,insanlar cam atıklarını geri dönüşüm kutularına atmalılar.Bu şekilde camlar çevremize ve hayvanlara zarar vermez, biliyorsunuz ki orman hayvanların yuvası  ‘’ dedi.Sonra Defne ve arkadaşları etraftaki çöpleri çöp poşetlerine toplamaya başladılar.

Defne said, “Teacher, this will damage our forests. ‘ he said.

Zeynep teacher said, “Yes, you are right Defne, people should throw their glass waste into recycling bins. This way, glass does not harm our environment and animals, you know that the forest is the home of animals.” Then Defne and her friends started to collect the garbage around them in garbage bags.

Defne çöplerden temizlenen ormana yüzündeki tebessümle bakar ;çınar yapraklarının hışırtısına karışan kuş cıvıltılarını dinler ,mis gibi çam kokusunu içine çeker ve bir ağacın gövdesine sırtını yaslar.Gölgesinde oturur :

-Mis gibi orman kokuyor, der.

Defne başını kaldırır ve bir de ne görsün, sırtını yasladığı ağaç defne ağacı.Tebessümle ağaca sarılır.

-Biz seninle adaşız,ismimi senin gibi güzel bir ağaçtan alıyorum.Bugün biz birbirimize destek olduk;sen bana gölge oldun, ben de seni atıklardan kurtardım.

Defne looks at the cleared forest with a smile on her face, listens to the chirping of birds mixed with the rustle of plane leaves, inhales the beautiful scent of pine and leans her back on the trunk of a tree.

“The forest smells very good,” she says.

Defne raises her head and what she sees, the tree she leans on is the laurel tree. She hugs the tree with a smile.

-We are namesake with you, I take my name from a beautiful tree like you. Today we supported each other; you shadowed me, and I saved you from the garbage.

Temizledikleri ormanda yürüyüşlerine devam eden öğrenciler etrafı merakla seyrederken önlerine küçük bir göl çıkar. Fakat göldeki suyun  bulanık kahverengi rengi  dikkatlerinden kaçmaz.

Çınar öğretmenine dönerek ‘Öğretmenim suyun rengi neden böyle balıklar nasıl yüzecek?” diye sorar.

While the students continue their walk in the forest they have cleared, while watching the surroundings with curiosity, a small lake appears in front of them. But the blurry brown color of the water in the lake does not escape their attention.Cinar turned to her teacher and said, “Teacher, why is the color of the water like this, how will fish swim?” he asks.

Öğretmen etrafına şöyle bir bakındıktan sonra Çınar’a döner “Haklısın,bu kirli suda balıkların ve canlıların yaşamlarını sürdürmesi mümkün değil.”

Zeynep Öğretmen bu durumun sebebini merak eder, biraz daha yürüdükten sonra yakınlarda bir fabrika olduğunu ve fabrika atıklarının dereye sızdığını fark eder. Öğretmen ve çocuklar bu duruma çok üzülürler.

After looking around, the teacher turns to Çınar, “You are right, it is not possible for fish and creatures to survive in this polluted water.”

Teacher Zeynep wonders the reason for this situation, after walking a little more, she real-izes that there is a factory nearby and that the factory wastes are leaking into the lake. The this situation.

Zaman geçti ve çocuklar acıkınca piknik yapmak için ormanın kenarındaki açıklığa gittiler.

– Bak öğretmenim, teneke kutuya sıkışan kafasını kurtarmak için mücadele eden yavru bir tilki.

Öğretmen açıklar: Tilki, insanların uygun şekilde atmadığı yemek artıklarının kokusundan etkilendi ve bu oldu.

Time passed and the children got hungry so they all headed to the clearing at the edge of the forest to make a picnic.

– Look, teacher, thare is a baby fox struggleing to free her head trapped in a tin can. The teacher explains: the fox was attracted by the smell of the food leftovers people didn’t throun properly  and this happened.

Çocuklar tilkinin kafasını kurtarmasına yardım etti. Tilki hemen korkmuş annesinin onu beklediği ormana koştu.

– Burada, bu kirliliğin içinde yemek yiyemeyiz! diye bağırdı çocuklar, başkalarından kalan kalıntıları toplamaya başladılar. Etraf temizlenince sohbet ederek piknik yaptılar.Tilkinin hikayesini düşündüler.

The children helped save the fox’s head. The fox immediately ran into the forest, where his frightened mother was waiting for him.

– We can’t eat here in this mess! cried the children, as they began to collect the remains of others. When the area was cleared, they had a picnic and chatted. They thought about the fox’s story.

Her şey yolunda gibiydi. Ancak birdenbire elektrikli testerenin motoru duyuldu. “Bu nedir öğretmenim?” Çocuklar hemen sordu. “Maalesef insanlar ağaçları kesiyor…” diye yanıtladı öğretmen. “Belki gidip onlarla konuşabiliriz. Gelecek nesillerin temiz ve temiz havaya ihtiyacı olduğunu, hayvanların barınmak ve beslenmek için ağaçlara ihtiyacı olduğunu anlatabiliriz…” çocuklar önerdi.

Everything seemed to be just fine. But, suddenly, the engine of a chainsaw could be heard. “What is this, teacher?” the children asked immediately. “Unfortunately, people are cutting down the trees….”, the teacher answered.  “Perhaps we could go and talk to them. We could explain to them that the next generations need clean and fresh air, that animals need the trees to shelter and to feed themselves…..” the children propos

Çocuklar bir an düsünüp bir ağacın gölgesine oturdularOrmanda yaşadiklari gördükleri onlari çok etkilemisti.Biz doğa ,cevre ve ormanlarimiz icin ne yapabiliriz öğretmenim diye sordular.Öğretmen ilham aldığınız bu gezintiden bir kitap yazalim ve adinı Çevreci Cocuklarin Ormanı koyalim ne dersiniz dedi.Cocuklar kendi yaptiklari kağıtlara en güzel orman hikayesini yazdılar…

The children thought for a moment and sat under the shade of a tree. What they saw in the forest affected them very much. They asked me, teacher, what can we do for nature, the environment and our forests. they wrote the forest story…
