Shel Silverstein

shel was an American writer, poet, cartoonist, songwriter, and playwright.Though perhaps best known for his children’s books, Silverstein did not limit his audience to children.

why shel is so creative? 

Silverstein began drawing at age seven by tracing the works of Al Capp. When he was 12-14 he wanted to play football like everyone else, and to be loved by the girls but this does not happen.
And when that did not happen he invested in his career and writing and so when the girls arrived all he saw was his career.

one of his famous book was “The giving tree”. His moving parable for all ages offers a touching interpretation of the gift of giving and a serene acceptance of another’s capacity to love in return. The Giving Tree is a meaningful gift for milestone events such as graduations, birthdays, and baby showers.
