Chapter 1: My second home
Once upon a time a girl was walking down a weird path in a dark and strange neighborhood. Oh really I know what you guys think, why would a girl walk around alone at night in a neighborhood she doesn’t know ?! So maybe I should make it clear that this is not just a girl and this is
Not just an unfamiliar neighborhood, this girl, me, is already 16 and this neighborhood is kind of my second home and every Thursday at six forty-three exactly I come here, in conclusion , I come to play or gamble, How you would like to describe it.
Chapter 2: The gambler group
I came to the red door with the green handle, and all along the handle there are patterns of flowers, That for some reason I have never seen, how strange.
I knocked twice and saw a huge eye looking at me suspiciously through the peephole.
“Hank is me” I shouted, and Hank and Hank’s eye opened the door for me.
I started giggling “Are you looking in the peephole again with the wrong eye !?”
“Shot” Hank said “It always happens to me”
“Zoey” everyone says
“Hey guys” I said, “where is everyone else?”
“Shirley and Wess on the way and joe on the phone in the other room” Eric said as he moving between channels in order to find something interesting.
I had nothing to do so I started organizing the game and lily helped.
As I shuffled the cards Wess and Shirley walked in the door, Shirley said hi to the group and straight came to me and lily to hug us. She jumped up and down and said “Aaaaa I’m pregnant!!!”
A- They have three children Why do they want continue to suffer?
“This is so great!” Lily said with joy
“Wow I’m so happy for you” I said trying to put a small smile on my face.
chapter 3: When everything was still okay
Everyone sat down around the table and we started playing.
Wess is our dealer, he looks like a dealer. He is a tall man with a big glasses that sit right above his mustache, you get it.
Wess sat down and dealt five cards to each.
Everyone tried to keep a normal face but you could see the joy in Joe’s face, he’s so transparent I do not know how he sat in jail.
Everyone except Shirley and Lily exchanged their cards.
The game went on, and the night went down.
“Boom!” Joe shouted, tossing the remaining cards on the table.
“I won !!!” he continued to cheer and opened with a rather awkward victory dance
“You’re such losers!” He pointed at us scornfully
“Congratulations Joe” I rolled my eyes ridiculously and got up to help Hank clear the plates.
“So how about school?” Hank asked and Shirley and Joe argued in the background
“Hard, you know” I said
Hank grinned and said, “I really not.” Suddenly I heard a trigger.
chapter 4: a big murder in a small neighborhood
“Three shots, one in the forehead, the other in the neck and the third in the chest” Eric said as he examined Wess as he tried to look for something suspicious in the area. Such a sentence is regularly heard in this neighborhood, only this time, it was heard from the room we were all in, and the three shots were aimed at Wess, who was still sitting On the couch ,Entirely covered with blood. his eyes looked frightened and lifeless, he looked so cold, so pale, so dead.
“I can not believe it happened” Shirley shouted and her voice trembled, she touched his face with shaking hands, while Lily tried to comfort her.
I stood frozen from the shock, looking at her and Wess with a startled look.
“Who could do that?” I asked, scared
“Joe?” Eric murmured and Joe was shocked
“It’s not me, I swear” he hurried to defend himself
“I have to go to the bathroom,” said Shirley, her eyes red from the crying that had not yet subsided.
“I think it’s worth looking for clues, maybe a gun or something,” Joe said, scanning the living room; I opened Eric and Joe’s bag, which was empty of sharp objects or a gun, and moved on to Shirley’s bag placed on the dining room table.
“What did you lose in my bag?” Shirley asked suddenly.
“I thought there might be something in it that could help…” I said and she smiled
“I have no reason to kill my husband,” she said and I nodded sorryly, she pulled her bag and he fell, and out of it fell a gun, the gun.
Chapter 5: Blood on the hands
“It’s not me, I swear,” Shirley said, handcuffed.
“Zoe I swear” she said with a pleading look and i murmured that I was sorry, I knew something was wrong but I was afraid to try to understand what really happened here.
She was an easy target, the “wife”… it made sense, but it’s too easy.
Shirley looked at me sadly and continued to walk outside the house when behind her were three cops.
“It doesn’t seem right to me” I whispered to Eric and looked around.
“She loved him even if they were fighting all the time, she wouldn’t do it!” i said, still in panic.
“Lily, she had a gun in her bag! She tricked us from the beginning, she’s lying to you” Eric said in a whisper and I still wasn’t happy.
“Do you want me to take you home?” Lily asked, and I nodded with a half-smile thanking her.
Chapter 6: Our little secret
“It was great” she grinned to herself and I looked at her In confusion.
“What?” I asked, not understanding the joke.
“Oh really, I’m tired of him playing with me, like an idiot,” she murmured angrily.
“Are you talking about Wess ?!” I asked in a complete shock.
״Yeah, what other asshole do you know Zoe?He betrayed her, with me! and now she’s pregnant, poor thing” she said with a bitter grin, stopping her car next to my house.
“See you next week, do not forget to keep the little detail you have discovered a secret” she said with a shameless look on her face and I nodded quickly out of the car, as if my life depended on it, or maybe not just as if.
