This ebook will teach children about the four different seasons and their characteristics; summer, autumn, winter, and spring! This is an important lesson where students will build on prior knowledge of weather patterns as well as important dates and activities that align with the season.

Students will identify the four seasons: summer, autumn, winter, and spring, students will compare the four seasons and analyze different characteristics of each season.

SUMMER
Summer happens in the months:
June, July, August, and September.
The summer weather is hot and sunny.
In the summer there is more daylight!
AUTUMN or FALL
The next season that happens after summer is autumn.
Autumn is also called fall.
Fall happens in the end of September, and in the months October, and November.
In the autumn/fall the weather becomes cooler and the leaves on the trees often change colors!
WINTER
Winter is the season after autumn.
Winter happens in the months: December, January, and February.
In many places winter is the coldest season of the year. The weather is chilly and snowy!
SPRING
The spring comes after winter.
Spring happens in the months March, April, and May.
The weather starts to become warmer.
In the spring it rains often.
New flowers bloom in the spring and everything grows preparing for the next season of summer!
“April showers bring may Flowers” is a common saying.
