Hello, today I’m going to write about five thing I learned about laughter:
number one:
laughter make our brain release products that improve our mood and can relief pain
number two:
For apes, what humour and laughter means ‘here’s an opportunity to learn’. They signal that there is something new and not serious or threatening here, and they recruit others for the game or investigation
number three:
We like to laugh and enjoy laughter, and endorphins are released in our minds when we laugh. according to the researchers, laughter strengthens the bonds with our friends and makes us want to go back and see them, talk to them and laugh with them.
number four:
A 2016 study showed that close friends are more likely to laugh with real laughter when they talk to each other, while strangers tended to laugh artificially – and people who listened to those laughs were often able to recognize this and determine, according to laughter alone, the degree of closeness between laughers. The examinees were from different countries, so the characteristics of spontaneous and angelic laughter seem to be shared by people all over the world, and we all know – more or less – when our interlocutors are really laughing.
number five:
There is no doubt that we laugh a lot during a conversation, and the research suggests that we do so even if there was nothing funny about it. When a researcher recorded people’s conversations and examined what was said just before they laughed, he found that in only about a fifth of cases laughter was in response to a funny statement or behavior. Most of the time people laughed or giggled after sayings like “I’ll see you later,” “Do you have a hair rubber band?,” or “Look, there’s Andrew!” – especially if they were the ones who said them.
