The goal was to find out what we could get for one shekel.

We thought of it metaphorically…

We went downstairs and found a fruit and vegetable store

Therefore, we began thinking about saying that included fruits or vegetables…

Do we have one that is meaningful to us?

Maybe “It’s no use boiling your cabbage twice.”

Or perhaps “A cat has nine lives, as an onion has seven skins.”

Is it a good idea to pick a well-known one?

“An apple never falls too far from the tree.”

In the end, we chose a saying that was also a great match for the purpose of the assignment (or, at least, we hoped it was).

We decided to go with LEMONS!

Several meanings are conveyed with this saying, and we believe that all of them are positive and important.
