Introductory
There are many fascinating plants and animals in the African Savannahs. The climate is very marvelous too. I think the most intriguing of all is the animals though.
Astonishing Savannahs
There are many animals in the savannahs. Some are the giraffe, zebra, and African elephant. Savannahs are large grassland like pieces of land which provide some coverage for animals. Animals are harder to hunt for, because the grasses hide them. Some animals are carnivores, but the others are herbivores which eat plants, did you know some plants are carnivores?
Plants
The venus-flytrap and pitcher plant gets nutrients by catching and digesting insects. Pitcher plants are shaped like a pitcher or a bowl. The insects get attracted to the plants by the nectar they hold. Once the insect gets close enough the plant grabs it. Some plants cannot live in some parts of Africa, because the climate is not fitting for their needs.
Climate
The equator passes through the middle of Africa which makes it warmer there. It rains moderately in the south part of Africa which means there is not excessive rain. In the northern part of Africa it rains from April to September. The east receives tropical rain and never goes a month rainless.
Concluding
The climate in Africa can be kind of like a cello. One minute you could be playing high, which it would be warm. Then, the next minute you could be playing low, which it would be raining or cold. If you lived in Africa where would you want to live?
