A desk, a chair, books, notebooks, a backpack, pencils, a sharpener, a highlighter, papers, and a whiteboard were some of my classroom items at the beginning of the school year in 2020.
A couple of months passed by and there was this new disease. Everyboday is talking about the spread of a new virus called corona. I did not pay much attention to it thinking it is somekind of a new ternd that just went viral.
My parents, teachers, and my classmates were all very concerned. Back then we have to start wearing masks, wash our hands 20 times a day, use sanitizers whenever possible, keep social distance, and even wear gloves on a certain occasions. Not that we don’t do all that anymore. but it was way more significant when it all started.
I was ashamed to wear a facemask at school. I thought I looked ugly with it on. but I knew I had to so I wore it anyway.
People started getting sick. I knew then it wasn’t a trend. This was a serious virus that could end the life of my loved ones.
After what seemed like two months of handling coronavirus at my school, there was something called a lockdown, we had to stop attending . At first I was happy, now I won’t worry so much about the possibility of passing the virus to my family and friends and even if I loved going to school, I was happy that I could just stay home and play all the time.
My happiness did not last for too long. As I started missing my friends, teachers, and learning at school. I felt like I couldn’t use a pincel anymore and my handwriting changed badly. I couldn’t take it any more.
One day, while I was watching Tv. I got a notification on my phone, It was my teacher.
Hooray, Online learning!
My teachers introduce me to something called zoom. It’s this cool app that I could learn, engage, and meet my friends and teachers through. I am finally back to school while still being home. But I’ve changed my school items from papers, books, and pencils to computer, laptop, apps, and a mouse.
My teachers, classmates, and I loved online learning so we created this song.
After making the online learning song. I sent it to my cousin in Germany. We talked on zoom too and sang it togather.
