  Platon – klassik yunan fəlsəfəsinin ikinci nümayəndəsi.

Platonun əsl adı Aristokl idi. Platon (yunan sözü olan “Plato” — genişlik) adını isə ona Sokrat vermişdir. Geniş vicuduna görə.

Gördüklərinə heyrətlənən bu insan mağaraya qayıdır və digər məhbuslara gördüyü şeyləri danışmağa başlayır. Məhbuslar sərbəst insana artıq özlərindən biri kimi yox düşmən olaraq baxmağa başladı.

Platon akademiyası… Platon Afinada ilk dəfə “Akademiya” ( qəhrəman Akademin şərəfinə belə adlandırıldı ) – fəlsəfə məktəbini yaratdı.Əslində Akademiyada dərs üsulu ortaya məsələ, problem qoyub onu həll etməyə çalışmaq və dialoq idi (Sokrat metodu);
