Broken Radius Bone

      My heart was throbbing with joy. I have never felt this happy before ever in my life. The reason I was so happy was because I could finally ride my bran new ripstik that I got for my 8th birthday. My aunts Samantha {Sam} and Tamra {Tammy}. The reason I was inspired by getting and/or asking for a ripstik was because my friend Macy thought almost every time I went over to her house we were outside riding her ripstik. The reason I was reminded of this interesting memory was because I had just got back from her house and we had ridden her ripstik. Let me tell you more about my experience about me breaking my radius bone.

      Me and my sister Madison were in a great mood, even though it has been raining for about ten minutes,but it had stopped. My grandma had just left and so I was very surprised that we were happy because she left. I was not thinking and I asked Maddie {Madison}, “Do you want to go to the park with me and ride our bran new ripstiks up to the park,and not just around here?” She responded, “Sure I would love to!” So then we went to the park. 

On our way up to the park, it is only two minutes away from our house. On my way up to the park I had fallen off of my ripstik. I was really embarrassed because I had fallen off in front of our neighbors house, and I was lucky because they weren’t looking at least I don’t think that they saw me.  Maddie did not see me fall, so she kept on going up to the park. I had luckily caught myself before I had gotten hurt. I jumped right back  up on my ripstik and kept on going up to the park.

When I got up to the park I road around the park with Maddie. We only did it for about three minute at the most. Maddie went with me around in circles. the bad part was that her back tire got stuck in the tar, so she fell of but she caught herself before she landed in a puddle and got all wet. Then I was thinking to myself should I go up the hill or just keep on riding around the park. Then I decided to go and ask Maddie, “What should I do? Should I go up the hill or just keep on riding around?”She responded by going up and down the hill. I told her, I wanted you to tell me and not just do it. She said, “I am so sorry” I said,” That’s fine.” She responded,” Ok, you should try it.” I was brave and did it. It was fun, so I decided to do it again. On that turn down it felt like I was going 5mph. Then I went back down the hill, and it felt like I was going 10 mph. When I went down that time I went BOOM, BANG, CRASH, SPLASH. What do you know I fell off. I was really mad for two reasons one I had fallen off and two I fell in a really big deep puddle. Maddie saw me fall off and she came over to me. She asked me,” How did you fall off of your ripstik.” I answered her,” My back tire stopped working and it got stuck in a puddle. She asked, “Do you want to go home?”I said,” yes I do please.”

As soon as I got home I told my parents what had happened.  They said lets take you in to see what you did to it.  I was made because we were only at the park for 5ish minutes. It only took 1 minute to get to the doctors office. When they took X-rays it took 1 minute for the results to get back. When they showed us that I had a broken bone I was really mad. They said that the bone I had broke was my Radius bone. That is the bone that is close to my thumb. It was very painful. One thing I was lucky about was that we were not in the school year. My cousins were coming that week and we were going to go to the waterpark, but we could not because of my arm.
