The Very big Surprise

Aubrey, Gunner, and I jumped in the van. I hopped in the front, and Gunner and Aubrey jumped in the middle seats. My mom got in the drivers seat and stared the van. It was my birthday and they were surprising me by where we are going. My mom let me choose the music since it was my birthday and I chose classical music. Everyone in the car groaned. I smiled.

When we got to Isa’s house we saw her waiting for us on the front porch. When she saw us she jumped up, grabbed her bag, and ran over to the van. While she put her bag in the trunk I moved to the backseat and Aubrey moved to the front. My mom was talking to Isa’s mom when Isa got in the seat next to me. Isa and I talked for about twelve minutes before my mom got the urge to leave. When my mom got in the car Beethoven’s  3rd Symphony was playing. I smiled even bigger.

My mom pulled into Little Ceasers about thirty minutes later. She got out of the van

and rushed inside. While she was inside Isa and I talked and Gunner moved into the driver’s seat to talk to Aubrey. Aubrey started talking to me about everything you could possibly want to talk about. Then, she asked me where I think we are going. Then, out of the blue she told me where we were going.

“Aubrey why did you tell me? Mom said it would be a surprise,” I said surprisingly calm. I was not mad at her at all. “Sorry,” she replied. Just then Mom came out with five pizzas in hand.

“What are you, feeding a whole barn?”  I asked, shocked by how many pizzas there were. She just shrugged and stacked them in the middle of the car in between the two middle seats. Gunner crawled back into his spot in the middle and were off!

Mom pulled up in front of the hotel where we usually swim.  Aubrey’s godmother came rushing out with her child trailing after her. We went inside and I found out that my godmothers and their children were there. All of the smaller children got into the big pool with Aubrey and Isa and I got in the hot tub with the older people. Mia, my sister’s godmother’s child, got in the hot tub with us and soon it was time for the pizza. While we ate I opened my presents. When we were done eating we all jumped into the pool and swam for three more hours. Isa slept over at my house that night and we brought her home in the morning. I am somewhat glad Aubrey told me where we were going for some unknown reason.
