Hi I’m Pedro, Pedro the Water Molecule. I’ve been in the ocean for thousands of years. Some of my friends did something called evaporation, but I haven’t yet.

Evaporation is when heat energy turns water molecules into a gas, and makes us float up to the sky to join clouds or make clouds. One day, I was just minding my own business, when I started evaporating!

I floated up into a cloud which is made with condensation, and hung out with my friends! It didn’t end there though, since there were lots of us, we started joining together! Every time another one of my friends comes up we all get heavier and now I’m FALLINGGGGGG! The gravity was pulling me down fast!

“AHhhh What’s happening?!” Pedro yelped. His friend turned to him and said, “This is called precipitation mannnn, chill.” – Precipitation?- Pedro thought to himself, “oh I’ve heard of that before!”, He thought.

As he fell he realized his surroundings were different. As he hit the ground he fell into a river below him. He felt as if he was getting sucked towards the bottom of the river. At first he was confused but then he realized he was moving through the ground! He later learned it was called groundwater!.

He was moving through the water underground for a while when he realized that he was going into a lake. Then an animal slurped me up! After that I floated back into a cloud and fell back into where it all began.
