We normally take offense when someone sneers at us. When someone sneers at me I never take any offense. I simply understand that person is using his/her lips in gathering extra air for breathing. I mean I wouldn’t want my neighbor to collapse due to lack of oxygen. 

They think they are sneering at you but you are wise to know their noses are physically challenged & they need extra oxygen.
