ABOUT THE PROJECT  (MY DREAM JOB)

This Project is for the middle school students. They will not only learn names of the jobs but they will also learn what they do and use, where they work, what the required job personality traits are, what their dream jobs are etc. They will also meet new web 2.0 tools and by learning to use them they will improve their technological knowledge which is an asset in the 21st century. They will make new friends, have chance to talk with them in English, work cooperatively to form common final products and observe that learning English can be really fun.

We had online meetings, met each other, decided what to do and how to do, talked about the details and evaluate the activities.

Our students prepared some posters and logos using Canva and we organised a competition to choose our project’s poster and logo.

Our Students created job bookmarks. Some of them used Canva some of them made them themselves. 

For Internet Security Day 

( 9th February) They prepared Wordclouds using WordArt or other wordcloud preparation apps. 

We created various  quizes, puzzles and word games using different Web2 tools about jobs and what they do , where they work etc. For this purpose we formed 4 transnational teams. Students of these teams prepared puzzle questions and then each team prepared puzzles using the other team’s questions.

Our female students prepared videos role playing famous women in the world on 8th of March World Women Day.

Students took their own photos with their dream jobs’ costumes then used Chatterpix and they got their photos spoken.

Students created some slogans and brochures and proverbs related to World Water Day.

We prepared a common comic book via story jumper.

We formed teams involving 2 schools. We worked with a partner. Our story takes place in a hospital.There are funny dialogues between the doctors and their patients.

We as teachers students and parents filled the survey at the beginning and at the end of the project to evaluate how much we learnt and developed through the project

As a part of our dissemination activities we prepared a virtual exhibition using art steps app.

We prepared project corners at our schools.

News from our project was on our local newspapers and school web sites.

We related our project activities to the English lesson curriculum of secondary school.

We as teachers took our Participation Certificates and we of course gave our students’ to thank their great participation and supports.

We prepared a paddlet to collect our activities done using various web 2 tools.
