For many people, coffee is the first beverage consumed in the morning and can be relied upon for energy to help them get through the day.
For some, the smell and taste of coffee are comforting.
If you are deprived of sleep, having a cup can help you feel more relaxed and ready to be productive.
In this book I will tell you about the most popular types of coffee
espresso
The most common type of coffee.
The espresso is a strong black coffee, which is prepared by applying steam pressure and infusing water through quality coffee beans.
This way of making coffee, brings out the best in it, and the espresso shows the peak of the flavor, aroma and texture of the coffee.
The coffee beans intended for making the espresso are characterized by low acidity and high bitterness, and they contain oils and colloids, which are released with the preparation of the espresso and increase its aroma.
In this way a thick and bitter drink is formed and on its upper edges a reddish-brown foam, which indicates the quality of the pouring.
cappuccino
a drik made from an espresso, a third cup of hot milk and a third cup of frothed milk.
Cappuccino is usually served in a porcelain glass.
Americano
Espresso with added water.
Americano differs from long espresso in that the hot water added to the espresso does not pass through the coffee beans, and therefore does not enhance the taste of the espresso.
The strength of Americano can be determined by the amount of water added to espresso.
Despite its name, this type of coffee is actually not popular in the United States, and some believe that the origin of the name is in the Italians’ mockery of the way American soldiers drank their coffee during World War II.
macchiato
Espresso with a hint of milk or cream that softens the taste.
Macchiato is served in a double cup of espresso, and sometimes foam is added to it.
The drink originated in cafes in Italy, where the bartenders wanted to differentiate for the waiters between regular espresso and espresso with milk.
To do this add about a teaspoon of frothed milk to the espresso, and form the macchiato.
A variation of the drink is latte macchiato, which contains inverse ratios: hot milk stained with an espresso spoon.
Latte
Contains 1/3 espresso coffee, 2/3 steamed milk, and a little aromatic foam on them.
The name of the drink comes from the Italian word latte, which means milk.
The difference between latte and cappuccino is that latte has a smaller amount of frothed milk, which is about an inch of frothed milk, compared to a third cup of frothed cappuccino milk.
mocha
A coffee drink based on latte coffee, but also contains bitter chocolate syrup / milk chocolate or milk chocolate.
Black “Mud”
An Israeli method for infusing ground coffee beans in water, named after the sediment formed at the bottom of the glass.
In this method, water is poured at a very high temperature, but not at boiling temperature, into a glass with finely ground coffee beans.
he aroma of the coffee drips from the ground beans into the water, and the ground beans themselves sink down.
Irish coffee
Ericocake coffee with Irish whiskey.
Legend has it that Irish coffee was invented in the 1940s when an Irish bartender wanted to welcome travelers stuck in his rainy homeland.
He added a few drops of whiskey to the drink, and the passengers, as a token of gratitude, called the drink Irish Coffee.
To make Irish coffee, pour into a glass of Irish whiskey and a whip of long espresso or filter coffee with added sugar. Then pour in sweet cream so that two layers are formed in the glass: a dark layer of coffee whiskey, and above it a white of cream, through which the bitter coffee is drunk.
Percolator
A type of jar used to make coffee. There are two popular types of percolator.
The first type transfers boiling water under pressure through coffee beans to a separate container.
The second type passes the boiling water repeatedly through the beans, using gravity, until the desired coffee strength is achieved.
Coffee made in the percolator is quite strong coffee, however it is completely foam-free.
There is coffee for every occasion and for every situation what kind of coffee is your favorite?
