Once upon a time there was a big whale that swam in the ocean all alone. The big whale had no family or friends. He was very lonely and sad.

The big whale wanted to make friends, he didn’t want to be so lonely.

The whale was too scared to come and talk to the fish because he was very shy.

Even though he was scared he came to talk to the little fish, but before he got a chance to talk, the little fish swam away.

The whale was hurt. He felt lonelier than before. He just wanted to make new friends.

The following day, the whale saw the little fish again. He came to him and said his name, but suddenly the fish screamed: “Don’t eat me, scary whale!” and once again he swam away from the whale.

The next day, the whale swam alone in the depths of the sea. Suddenly he heard screams “help!” “help us!” so he swam over there to see what happened.

He saw some little fish swimming away from a big shark.

The shark tried to eat them, but then the big whale came, protected them and scared the shark away.

 After this scary event, the same little fish came to the big whale. The little fish thanked the whale and said sorry for swimming away.

All of the little fish came to the whale and said: “thank you big whale, you saved our lives!”.

The big whale and the group of the little fishes became really good friends. But from all of them, the same little fish that swam away from him was his best friend.

The whale and the fish hung out a lot and found a lot of things in common.

From that day the little fish learned something: “Don’t Judge a book by its cover”. Who you thought might be different from you may sometimes be more like you than you can imagine.
