Teachers and students in a co-creative environment create poetry for a sustainable future. The project gives children and youth’s new learning experiences and a voice in society.
What is your dream for a sustainable future?
The Sustainable Development Goals: 17 Goals to Transform Our World
We selected some goals and we started working sharing ideas and words
THEN WE MET VIRTUALLY AND WE MADE SMALL GROUPS TO COLLABORATE
AND HERE ARE SOME CREATIVE OUTCOMES
IT’S TIME TO ROAR!
We want gender equality.
it mustn’t be diversity
Talk about our own experiences
Body shaming and cat calling are serious.
so we must be careful,
and don’t discriminate against anyone and be peaceful.
I’m a woman, does this mean I have to receive less?
Does this mean I always have to be oppressed?
We need this to be our new reality
we have to arrive to gender equality
We lived a painful past,
we know the shameful history,
but we keep on moving forward,
and they keep on coming last.
We‘ve been judged for centuries, for things that are basic human rights.
We‘ve been told to shut up, even though we have a voice.
Our body has been seen as a property, even if it doesn‘t belong to anybody but ourselves.
We‘ve been silent long enough and we are sick of it.
It‘s time for a change.
Take the blinders from your vision,
take the padding from your ears,
and confess you´ve heard me crying,
confess you´ ve seen my tears.
Imagine being a woman.
Imagine walking down the streets and being called gross stuff.
Imagine walking home and holding keys in your hands to defend yourself.
Imagine posting on social media and getting insulted for nothing.
Imagine being on snapchat and getting pics you didn‘t ask for.
Imagine being in a meeting and being told to shut up because your opinion doesn‘t have value.
Imagine being a woman and then ask yourself if it is fair.
I had a big smile on my face,
as I burned the bridges,
to all the things in the past,
that I couldn´ t repair.
We are like lions,
we are no longer afraid
to let the world
hear us roar.
LET’S SAVE OUR PLANET!!!
WITH A SINGLE GLARE
With a single glare artificial light,
Into flames bursts the starry night,
Big cities have lost their way
No sight of the Milky Way
No more stars
No more Moon
I’m a woman
I could wear shorts, so could boys;
I could go out at night, so could boys;
I could express my own opinions, so could boys.
The last time I checked
only boys could.
Women can do none of these things without consequences.
Aren’t we all humans?
Women deserve to be treated with the same respect as men.
Women are made to be loved,
not to be mistreated.
Accept, don’t differentiate.
We are unified, then don’t dominate.
Being born a girl and not a boy
doesn’t make you inadequate.
It isn’t a joke or illness,
so don’t humiliate
The earth is where I come from
but the ocean is my home.
I swim near the pieces of the history,
a thousand year old plastic bag.
What is it doing here? What a mystery.
Black tears are coming out of the people’s misery
A collateral effect of the world’s biggest injury.
Water is precious, time is short
and preacious is the life of sea creatures.
The color of the algae is fading
but we are still destroying not caring.
Pollution, is there a solution?
Oil spillages killing animals
litter intoxicate like poison
while people only care about the next summer season.
-I’m just a paper man. Look at me.
-I’m just a piece of paper, too. Look at me.
-You look dejected. How do you feel?
-Don’t you see? My colour is darker than yours. People on the sidewalks look at me, like I’m dirty or more.
-So, do you think your worth is less
and that’s just for one colour you are a total mess?
I’ll tell you a secret my dear paper friend,
and think about who you met.
They are and we are all made of the same material,
only your soul will tell you who you are.
In real, you are unique and in life you will go far.
