Emilee Floor is the pianist-vocalist in residence at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York. It’s fair to say that I stay at the hotel to listen to her and her music. She plays Cole Porter’s piano. He would have been proud.

Last night she performed her funky rendition of Summertime (Gershwin). I managed to record some of her mean singing and piano playing.

So if you find yourself in the vicinity of the Waldorf-Astoria, check whether Emilee is on the piano. If she is, hang around a while. Oh, and please tell her Mel says hello.
